I was recently watching Jesse Michels' podcast with Dylan Borland, and Borland mentioned that he was a big fan of Dr. Paul Thigpen and his work on the UFO phenomenon. That led me to this older interview with Thigpen, and while looking through the YouTube comments I noticed that Dylan Borland himself was pretty active in the comment 3 years ago before he was public to my knowledge.

One commenter asked where the alleged spaceship parts were, and Borland responded:

“The parts ate locked up in Lockheed under IARPA”

Obviously that's a pretty interesting comment to see now, considering what Borland has since come forward publicly claiming as a UAP whistleblower.

I don't have time right now to go through the entire comment section and see everything else he wrote, but it looks like he was pretty active in there. If anyone wants to dig through the comments and see what else Borland was saying back then, go for it. His handle in the comments is u/dylan_borland.

YouTube follow-up

The messages were in the video's replayable live chat, not its ordinary comment section. yt-dlp retrieved the live_chat subtitle track directly from YouTube on 2026-09-03. It contains 62 messages whose embedded authorExternalChannelId is UC2RdMprofcnD_e46Wbh6VHQ. That is the same channel ID used by the current public channel @Dylan_Borland, which is named Dylan Borland, says it joined YouTube on 2020-12-15, had four subscribers at retrieval, and has no public uploads. The live-chat records therefore authenticate the messages to that YouTube channel. The channel name, unique pre-public timing, and the author's claim to be a veteran who “worked in this world” strongly support the attribution to Borland, although the public profile does not independently prove who controlled it.

The ordinary-comment extraction performed during capture did not test the live-chat replay. YouTube does not expose a public account-wide history of live-chat messages left across other channels, and web searches for the channel ID and handle found no additional archived appearances.

Context of the quoted reply

The immediate live-chat sequence supports the Reddit author's description:
