What this is: a popular retelling-then-critique of Zecharia Sitchin's ancient-astronaut theory — that the Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru came to Earth to mine gold and genetically engineered humanity (splicing their DNA with Homo erectus to make a worker/slave race; "Adamu"). The episode dramatizes the Sumerian-myth narrative, then (from ~49:00) debunks Sitchin's translations (Anunnaki = "royal blood/seed," not "those who from heaven came"; the VA 243 cylinder seal's 12 objects are not planets+Nibiru; Sumerians knew planets only to Saturn; "Nibiru" = "crossing"/solstice marker, not a 3,600-year planet; no Sumerian text mentions flying vehicles or gold-to-heal-an-atmosphere; "considered pseudoscience"), then does the channel's signature "not so fast" re-mystify (cross-cultural flood myths / Younger Dryas; the royal tomb at Ur framed as a "human-Anunnaki hybrid"). A clean specimen of the dramatize → debunk → re-mystify edutainment pattern.
[00:00:00.600] This episode of The Why Files is brought
[00:00:02.360] to you by Audible.
[00:00:05.000] 7 million years ago, a chimpanzee stood
[00:00:08.000] up on its hind legs and a new species of
[00:00:10.640] hominin emerged. Over the next few
[00:00:12.920] million years, hominins evolved. They
[00:00:15.520] were still ape-like in appearance, but
[00:00:17.800] these were not apes. Their brains grew
[00:00:20.040] larger. They created stone tools and
[00:00:22.600] hunted large game. They discovered fire
[00:00:25.440] and learned to follow the migration
[00:00:26.960] patterns of the animals they used for
[00:00:29.120] food, clothing, and shelter. It took a
[00:00:31.600] few million years for hominins to
[00:00:33.080] discover how to make a stone spearhead.
[00:00:35.800] 2 million years later, that stone
[00:00:37.480] spearhead changed into
[00:00:39.520] a different shaped spearhead. Technology
[00:00:42.080] evolves slowly.
[00:00:43.680] But 300,000 years ago, Homo sapiens
[00:00:46.560] appeared and before long, they, we, were
[00:00:50.120] the dominant species on the planet. Once
[00:00:52.680] they destroyed Neanderthals once and for
[00:00:54.520] all, something happened. Technology
[00:00:57.680] accelerated. It only took 30,000 years
[00:01:00.640] to go from Göbekli Tepe to landing
[00:01:02.960] probes on other planets. How could
[00:01:05.320] mankind evolve so fast? The answer is
[00:01:08.800] they couldn't. Mankind didn't evolve at
[00:01:11.520] all.
[00:01:12.520] Mankind was engineered, purpose-built to
[00:01:15.440] be the perfect slaves for a race of far
[00:01:18.120] superior beings who, according to
[00:01:20.360] ancient texts, descended from the
[00:01:22.400] heavens. Eventually, the slaves rebelled
[00:01:25.240] and our masters tried to destroy us in a
[00:01:27.280] great flood. Sumerian texts, Egyptian
[00:01:30.040] religions, ancient Indian myths, Native
[00:01:32.480] American legends, even the Bible. They
[00:01:35.200] all tell the same story. It's the story
[00:01:38.200] of gods and men. It's the story of the
[00:01:41.080] Anunnaki.
[00:02:01.760] Change of plans. What?
[00:02:21.920] As you know, for the past week, we've
[00:02:23.720] been covering this horrendous
[00:02:24.800] kidnapping.
[00:02:25.480] Joining us today to discuss the
[00:02:26.760] situation is AJ. AJ, tell us how you're
[00:02:29.520] feeling.
[00:02:32.800] AJ, you're alive.
[00:02:37.200] The whole world now knows that
[00:02:38.880] Hecklefish was kidnapped for ransom 3
[00:02:40.920] days ago.
[00:02:42.360] Behind me is a recent photograph of him.
[00:02:45.280] And this,
[00:02:46.800] this is what waits for the man who took
[00:02:48.320] him. This is your ransom. $2 million in
[00:02:51.840] unmarked bills, just like you wanted.
[00:02:54.200] But this is only half. Instead, I will
[00:02:56.960] double it to 4 million
[00:02:59.320] for you to keep him.
[00:03:03.640] You son of a
[00:03:05.000] But this is your last chance. You keep
[00:03:07.240] Hecklefish and the 4 million is yours.
[00:03:09.600] Understand? You will keep all of this
[00:03:11.360] money. With that blathering loot fish
[00:03:13.440] out of my house, this is my only
[00:03:15.280] opportunity to finish the Held for
[00:03:16.840] Ransom audiobook. With Audible, the
[00:03:19.160] thriller you're listening to comes to
[00:03:20.560] life so vividly through audio, it's
[00:03:22.800] almost like it's happening in real life.
[00:03:25.360] It is happening. Get me out of here.
[00:03:28.680] There's nothing like getting caught up
[00:03:30.120] in a mystery thriller and listening to
[00:03:31.960] it on Audible only enhances that
[00:03:33.520] experience. They have a must-hear

[00:03:41.840] no matter where you are. Even
[00:03:43.760] blindfolded in an unfamiliar bedroom
[00:03:45.960] waiting for the ransom to come true.

[00:04:06.040] That's it. I'm done.
[00:04:10.720] Am I really not getting out of here?
[00:04:12.840] Hello?
[00:04:14.760] Are you there? I hear you. I HEAR
[00:04:17.239] PEOPLE.
[00:04:21.799] Mesopotamia is called the cradle of
[00:04:23.960] civilization. Long before the pyramids
[00:04:26.440] soared above Egypt and ages before
[00:04:28.720] Stonehenge was built, the ancient
[00:04:30.840] civilization of Sumer thrived.
[00:04:34.600] Sure, we have sites like Göbekli Tepe
[00:04:36.720] and Măgura Gorn
[00:04:37.960] which predate the Sumerians, but those
[00:04:40.040] are small gathering places compared to
[00:04:42.040] the vast civilization of Sumer, the
[00:04:44.160] world's first empire. The Sumerians
[00:04:46.720] invented writing. They discovered the
[00:04:48.600] wheel. The sailboat was first created by
[00:04:51.200] the Sumerians. They revolutionized
[00:04:53.320] agriculture by inventing the first plow
[00:04:56.080] to be used on farms fed by a
[00:04:57.840] sophisticated irrigation system. Again,
[00:05:00.720] the world's first.
[00:05:02.640] Though the Greeks get credit for
[00:05:04.000] inventing city-states, that too was a
[00:05:06.520] Sumerian concept. Sumer was organized
[00:05:09.400] into city-states, each governed
[00:05:11.320] independently with its own ruler. These
[00:05:13.760] rulers reported to the king according to
[00:05:15.960] the code of Ur-Nammu, the world's first
[00:05:18.560] legal system. Sumerians understood
[00:05:20.920] complicated mathematics and astronomy.
[00:05:23.400] Their number systems used to tell time
[00:05:25.400] and measure the angles of a circle are
[00:05:27.360] still used today.
[00:05:29.240] Sumer was founded about 7,000 years ago
[00:05:31.840] and you probably know everything I've
[00:05:33.320] said so far. This is common knowledge.
[00:05:36.560] What's also common knowledge is that
[00:05:38.240] Homo sapiens, or modern man, appeared
[00:05:40.880] about 300,000 years ago.
[00:05:43.280] Look at how much our technology has
[00:05:44.920] evolved since the Sumerians. It took
[00:05:47.520] only 7,000 years to go from discovering
[00:05:49.800] writing to landing a man on the moon.
[00:05:53.400] Okay, to landing something on the moon.
[00:05:55.480] Better.
[00:05:56.600] So, what took so long? Why the sudden
[00:05:59.040] explosion of technology? What was modern
[00:06:01.760] man doing for the 225,000
[00:06:04.520] years or so before ancient Sumer? Why
[00:06:07.560] did technology not progress?
[00:06:10.560] Ancient Sumerian texts tell us why.
[00:06:13.240] Technology couldn't progress because
[00:06:15.200] humans were busy working. Working the
[00:06:17.480] mines. Working in the coal mine, going
[00:06:20.120] down, down, down. Working in the coal
[00:06:22.240] mine, woo, I got to slip down. Oh, they
[00:06:24.920] weren't mining for coal. They were
[00:06:26.600] mining for gold.
[00:06:37.720] Gold is a miraculous metal. It's an
[00:06:39.920] excellent conductor, highly useful in
[00:06:41.920] electronics, and crucial to space
[00:06:43.840] travel.
[00:06:45.000] Radioactive gold isotopes can target and
[00:06:47.440] destroy cancer cells. Gold can also be
[00:06:49.880] used for data processing and
[00:06:51.320] transmission.
[00:06:52.640] Before the 20th century, humans had no
[00:06:54.800] practical use for gold. It's nice to
[00:06:56.880] look at, but they couldn't use it for
[00:06:58.840] anything. Have you ever wondered why a
[00:07:00.720] metal useless to ancient humans suddenly
[00:07:03.960] and only very recently became the most
[00:07:06.080] valuable metal in the world? Gold has
[00:07:08.720] other uses. Gold nanoparticles can clean
[00:07:11.520] the environment. Gold facilitates
[00:07:13.720] chemical reactions that purify water and
[00:07:16.320] air by leaching away toxic compounds.
[00:07:19.480] That's where the sky gods of Sumer come
[00:07:21.280] in, the Anunnaki. Anunnaki.
[00:07:24.760] Why are you saying it like that?
[00:07:26.200] Anunnaki.
[00:07:27.840] Uh it's the new jingle like a we are
[00:07:30.160] farmers bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum
[00:07:31.720] bum bum.
[00:07:32.600] I'm loving it. Anunnaki. Anunnaki.
[00:07:36.160] Anunnaki.
[00:07:37.480] Uh you think it will stick? Uh no,
[00:07:39.880] that's just a rip-off of Hallelujah.
[00:07:43.040] Gold was more than the most valuable
[00:07:44.800] metal in the world. It was the most
[00:07:46.480] valuable metal in the solar system.
[00:07:49.160] The Anunnaki weren't gods. They were
[00:07:51.440] aliens from another planet. They needed
[00:07:53.760] gold to save their world from an
[00:07:55.560] environmental disaster, but gold was
[00:07:58.000] rare on their planet. They found a
[00:07:59.720] solution. About 450,000 years ago, the
[00:08:03.440] Anunnaki arrived on Earth not to help
[00:08:05.360] humans, but to use them. Gold is
[00:08:08.120] abundant on Earth. The Anunnaki knew
[00:08:10.160] this and they wanted every ounce of it.
[00:08:12.720] So, they bred us as a slave race to work
[00:08:15.000] the mines. The planet of the Anunnaki,
[00:08:17.920] hiding in the far reaches of our solar
[00:08:19.680] system, does exist. Not just according
[00:08:22.400] to ancient tablets, but according to
[00:08:24.160] NASA. The home world of the Anunnaki has
[00:08:26.560] been called the 12th planet by Zecharia
[00:08:28.600] Sitchin. NASA calls it Planet Nine.
[00:08:31.280] Others call it Planet X.
[00:08:33.800] The Sumerians and the Anunnaki called
[00:08:35.960] their planet Nibiru. And the fates of
[00:08:38.400] Nibiru and Earth were about to be joined
[00:08:40.520] together forever.
[00:09:01.680] Anu stood on his balcony and laughed to
[00:09:03.680] himself. His laugh wasn't about anything
[00:09:06.040] funny. It was a sarcastic laugh. Anu
[00:09:09.280] wasn't his given name. Anu was his
[00:09:11.320] title, given to all leaders of his
[00:09:13.080] people, the Anunnaki. Anunnaki.
[00:09:16.160] Please, no catchy jingles when I'm doing
[00:09:18.040] dramatic science fiction. Sorry, sorry.
[00:09:20.720] Go ahead, Philip K.
[00:09:22.800] Dick. 50
[00:09:27.680] 50,000 years ago, when Anu was young and
[00:09:30.080] ambitious, he fought former king Alalu
[00:09:32.840] for the throne and won. The council
[00:09:34.920] elected him to see Nibiru through the
[00:09:37.000] crisis.
[00:09:38.600] But during his time as leader,
[00:09:40.240] conditions on the planet were only
[00:09:41.800] getting worse.
[00:09:43.880] Industry on Nibiru was highly
[00:09:45.680] controlled. Factories polluted the air.
[00:09:48.120] There was no way to avoid it, but they
[00:09:49.920] had the technology to control it.
[00:09:52.600] Skyscraper-sized air recyclers dotted
[00:09:55.520] the landscape around every urban area.
[00:09:58.200] However, a series of volcanic eruptions
[00:10:00.720] caught the Anunnaki by surprise. Ancient
[00:10:03.400] volcanoes spewed ash and toxic gas into
[00:10:06.360] the air, overwhelming the recyclers with
[00:10:09.000] mountain-sized pyroclastic flows. Within
[00:10:11.880] weeks, the recyclers began to fail.
[00:10:14.440] Within months, the atmosphere began
[00:10:16.440] breaking down.
[00:10:20.360] Nibiru's ozone layer was thin in most
[00:10:22.640] places and completely gone in others.
[00:10:26.120] The sky above Nibiru was a sickly
[00:10:28.520] yellow, and the atmosphere was thick and
[00:10:30.720] oppressive. Twin moons once shined
[00:10:33.280] brightly, now they were barely visible
[00:10:35.280] through the haze. Stars that had once
[00:10:37.520] filled the night sky could no longer be
[00:10:39.280] seen.
[00:10:40.360] Anunnaki lived for 200,000 years. This
[00:10:43.960] long lifespan, once considered a gift,
[00:10:46.440] was now a curse. The older Anunnaki
[00:10:48.920] remembered a night sky filled with
[00:10:50.480] stars, but the young ones had never seen
[00:10:53.040] a star. The last brightest star
[00:10:55.360] disappeared behind the gloom years ago.
[00:10:58.400] In the cities of Nibiru, the towering
[00:11:00.440] spires of ancient buildings loomed over
[00:11:03.240] empty streets. The grand avenues, once
[00:11:05.960] lined with breathtaking sculptures and
[00:11:07.920] shimmering fountains, now seemed to
[00:11:10.280] taunt the Anunnaki, a painful reminder
[00:11:13.000] of an age of prosperity now long in the
[00:11:15.320] past. The gardens that once bloomed with
[00:11:17.920] exotic plants and flowers were now
[00:11:20.120] withered and brown. Formerly vibrant
[00:11:22.440] landscapes were barren and decayed, a
[00:11:24.760] casualty of the failing ecosystem.
[00:11:28.520] Anu and the Anunnaki people knew that
[00:11:30.800] their planet was dying and that they
[00:11:32.400] were running out of time. Anu had the
[00:11:34.640] greatest minds in the world working on
[00:11:36.680] this problem, but the outlook was grim.
[00:11:39.760] Then Anu's son, Enlil, burst into the
[00:11:41.760] room. He said, "Father, I know how we
[00:11:44.640] can save the planet."
[00:11:52.040] In the halls of learning, the greatest
[00:11:54.080] minds of Nibiru worked tirelessly to
[00:11:56.360] find a solution. They poured over
[00:11:58.640] ancient texts and conducted countless
[00:12:00.720] experiments, searching for a way to halt
[00:12:03.160] the decay of their world. And then, in a
[00:12:05.520] moment of desperation and brilliance,
[00:12:08.000] Anunnaki scientists discovered the
[00:12:09.720] answer: gold.
[00:12:12.160] The precious metal, rare on Nibiru, held
[00:12:14.760] the key to their salvation. When
[00:12:17.000] suspended in the atmosphere, microscopic
[00:12:19.520] gold reflects and absorbs the harmful
[00:12:21.760] radiation of the sun and space. It was
[00:12:24.440] the one chance to stabilize their
[00:12:26.120] atmosphere. It was a long shot and would
[00:12:28.440] take years, but it was their only hope.
[00:12:31.320] The Anunnaki mobilized all their
[00:12:33.000] resources and devised a plan. They sent
[00:12:35.720] expeditions to the far reaches of the
[00:12:37.520] solar system, searching for planets rich
[00:12:39.720] in gold. They would mine the gold, bring
[00:12:42.440] it back to their planet, and release it
[00:12:44.200] into the atmosphere in a desperate
[00:12:46.080] attempt to save their world. For years,
[00:12:48.920] probes went out and probes found
[00:12:51.000] nothing. Probes traveled the inner solar
[00:12:53.280] system and found nothing but useless
[00:12:55.280] volcanic rock and toxic gas. But today,
[00:12:58.320] there was a glimmer of hope. One of the
[00:13:00.160] probes reported not just the presence of
[00:13:02.480] gold, but of many more life-saving
[00:13:04.760] resources. All the elders were present
[00:13:07.320] at the council meeting: Enki, Nanna,
[00:13:09.800] Ninhursag, and Utu. But it was Anu's
[00:13:12.160] son, Enlil, who spoke first. Data from
[00:13:15.000] one of our probes has come in. There is
[00:13:17.640] a planet very close to the yellow star
[00:13:20.480] rich in gold. It also has liquid water
[00:13:23.800] in abundance. Its atmosphere is thin,
[00:13:26.960] thinner than ours, but it has a strong
[00:13:29.280] magnetic field that shields it from the
[00:13:31.640] radiation killing our planet. It's the
[00:13:33.960] third planet from the star. Anu knew of
[00:13:36.720] this planet. They called it Kai, but
[00:13:38.800] would later become known as Earth.
[00:13:40.960] Earth revolved around the sun very
[00:13:42.920] quickly. Nibiru was also in orbit around
[00:13:45.360] the star, but it took 3,600 Earth years
[00:13:48.200] to complete one revolution. Anu thought
[00:13:50.960] Earth sounded perfect. The journey would
[00:13:52.800] be dangerous, but times were desperate.
[00:13:55.400] Soon Nibiru would be making a close
[00:13:57.200] approach to Earth. The timing was
[00:13:59.680] perfect. He urged them to depart
[00:14:01.800] immediately, but Enlil had more to say.
[00:14:04.720] But Earth is teeming with life,
[00:14:07.600] including intelligent creatures, though
[00:14:10.120] still early in their development. These
[00:14:12.680] creatures are bipedal like us, but
[00:14:15.040] smaller than us, perhaps half our
[00:14:17.160] height. The creatures Enlil spoke of
[00:14:19.760] were under 6 ft tall. Anunnaki were
[00:14:22.120] between 12 and 15 ft tall. This is
[00:14:24.959] because Nibiru's gravity wasn't as
[00:14:26.680] strong as Earth's. This was just math.
[00:14:29.200] More gravity means smaller life forms.
[00:14:31.640] Low gravity allows plants and animals to
[00:14:33.560] grow very tall. Aside from their small
[00:14:36.200] size, the Earth creatures were similar
[00:14:38.400] in appearance to the Anunnaki in other
[00:14:40.200] ways. The Anunnaki had larger eyes and
[00:14:42.839] larger skulls than the Earthlings, but
[00:14:44.839] the Earth beings had two arms, two legs,
[00:14:47.280] eyes, nose, mouth, just like the
[00:14:49.280] Anunnaki. Anu sensed concern in Enlil's
[00:14:52.760] voice. Do these Earth creatures pose a
[00:14:55.640] threat to us and our project?
[00:14:58.040] They are primitive, but violent. Some
[00:15:00.920] eat animal flesh, if you can imagine.
[00:15:03.360] They have no interest in gold, but they
[00:15:05.560] may perceive us as a threat. They have
[00:15:07.959] no technology beyond wood and stone.
[00:15:10.440] Still, in numbers, they could be
[00:15:12.640] dangerous. That's what the Igigi are
[00:15:15.360] for.
[00:15:16.520] The Igigi were a race of slaves who
[00:15:18.760] served the Anunnaki in all things, from
[00:15:21.240] operating the factories to maintaining
[00:15:23.160] order. They were an intelligent and
[00:15:25.280] obedient workforce, and they could
[00:15:27.079] surely handle primitive creatures half
[00:15:29.040] their size. The council convened, the
[00:15:31.800] decision was made, and 300 Anunnaki and
[00:15:34.760] 600 Igigi were loaded onto great ships.
[00:15:38.120] It was time to make the journey sunward.
[00:15:40.320] It was time to make the journey to
[00:15:42.120] Earth.
[00:15:48.360] After a brief stop on Mars, the Anunnaki
[00:15:51.040] fleet arrived in Earth's orbit. The crew
[00:15:53.360] was stunned. The planet was a vibrant
[00:15:55.720] blue and green with swirling white
[00:15:57.560] clouds. Vast glimmering oceans seemed to
[00:16:00.480] go on forever. The planet was full of
[00:16:03.000] life in the sky, on land, and the sea
[00:16:05.480] below.
[00:16:12.120] The Anunnaki marveled at Earth's beauty,
[00:16:14.200] but also felt sadness. Their home
[00:16:16.480] planet, Nibiru, was dying, and its
[00:16:18.760] people were suffering. But that sadness
[00:16:21.280] renewed their resolve. They were here
[00:16:23.280] for a purpose: mine all the gold needed
[00:16:25.920] to heal their atmosphere.
[00:16:29.640] A few ships remained in orbit, while
[00:16:31.480] others scouted the planet for a suitable
[00:16:33.280] landing site.
[00:16:35.160] Eventually, they settled on the lush
[00:16:36.839] green plains between the Euphrates and
[00:16:39.240] the Tigris rivers. Later, this area
[00:16:41.320] would become known as Mesopotamia, the
[00:16:43.640] Greek word for between two rivers. The
[00:16:46.480] ships landed, and the Igigi were put to
[00:16:48.440] work. The Igigi were a race of aliens
[00:16:50.760] that the Anunnaki conquered long ago.
[00:16:53.120] After the Igigi were defeated, they were
[00:16:55.160] enslaved. They've served the Anunnaki
[00:16:57.400] ever since. The Igigi look similar to
[00:16:59.920] the Anunnaki, who look similar to modern
[00:17:02.040] humans. There is a reason for that.
[00:17:04.160] I'm getting there.
[00:17:07.000] Igigi were between 12 and 15 ft tall and
[00:17:09.880] extremely strong. Where humans have
[00:17:12.160] somewhat round skulls, the Anunnaki and
[00:17:15.320] the Igigi, to some degree, had very
[00:17:17.320] large and often elongated skulls. These
[00:17:20.439] elongated heads have been depicted many
[00:17:22.720] times in ancient carvings and frescoes.
[00:17:25.400] The Igigi were given only 7 days to
[00:17:27.679] build the great city of Eridu, to be
[00:17:29.720] ruled by Anu's son, Enki. The Anunnaki
[00:17:32.760] were cruel and brutal to the Igigi.
[00:17:37.640] The gods' load was great, the toil
[00:17:40.480] grievous, the trouble excessive. The
[00:17:43.440] great Anunnaki of the seven were making
[00:17:45.960] me Igigi undertake the toil.
[00:17:49.120] The city was completed on time. Then the
[00:17:51.920] Igigi dug mines and began mining gold.
[00:17:54.800] They mined gold day after day, year
[00:17:57.720] after year, for 150,000
[00:18:00.679] years.
[00:18:02.200] The Igigi extracted gold by the ton, and
[00:18:05.200] ships began making round trips between
[00:18:07.280] Earth and Nibiru. Enki, ruling in his
[00:18:09.960] father Anu's name, was thrilled. He
[00:18:12.400] demanded more output. The slave masters
[00:18:15.280] used weapons like particle beams to
[00:18:17.320] force the Igigi to work harder and
[00:18:19.400] faster.
[00:18:20.880] Enki didn't want to abuse the workforce
[00:18:23.080] this way, but felt he had no choice. The
[00:18:26.000] atmosphere on Nibiru was all but
[00:18:27.800] stripped away. He wasn't sure the gold
[00:18:30.320] would get back home in time. Then,
[00:18:32.800] against his better judgment, Enki
[00:18:34.960] demanded even more output from the
[00:18:36.880] mines. The slave masters were told to
[00:18:39.400] use any means necessary to get this
[00:18:41.240] done, including torture. Soon, whispers
[00:18:44.800] of dissent circulated among the Igigi.
[00:18:47.480] Then the whispers became shouts. No
[00:18:49.760] longer would the Igigi allow themselves
[00:18:51.640] to be tortured, and no longer would they
[00:18:53.679] work the mines. Atrahasis, a famous
[00:18:56.640] leader of the Igigi, made the decision
[00:18:59.120] to rebel.
[00:19:02.800] For too long have we languished under
[00:19:05.040] the yoke of the Anunnaki. We were born
[00:19:07.360] of the stars, yet condemned to the dark.
[00:19:10.280] It is time we seek the light. Now,
[00:19:13.159] proclaim war. Let us combine hostilities
[00:19:16.159] and battle.
[00:19:17.919] The rebellion was swift. The Igigi were
[00:19:20.760] intelligent and strong. They turned
[00:19:22.480] their tools into weapons, broke their
[00:19:24.440] chains, and fought the Anunnaki for
[00:19:26.159] their freedom. The city of Eridu became
[00:19:28.640] a battlefield, and gold mines collapsed
[00:19:31.159] from the uprising. The Igigi fought
[00:19:33.120] bravely, but they failed and were put
[00:19:35.600] back in chains. Enki's brother, Enlil,
[00:19:38.560] had been overseeing the mining
[00:19:39.880] operations. He was furious. He wanted
[00:19:42.960] the Igigi killed for treason, but Enki
[00:19:45.640] felt differently. The Anunnaki and the
[00:19:47.880] Igigi had thousands of years of shared
[00:19:50.040] history.
[00:19:53.720] Shall we meet defiance with tyranny or
[00:19:56.480] can we forge a new destiny together?
[00:20:00.240] The Igigi could not return to the mines
[00:20:02.560] and Enki knew this. They would continue
[00:20:04.400] to rebel. But someone had to work the
[00:20:06.680] mines and do all the labor a large city
[00:20:09.040] requires. So Enki had an idea.
[00:20:12.760] In the forests were ape-like hominids.
[00:20:15.320] They had large brains, walked on two
[00:20:17.280] legs and can use simple tools. They
[00:20:20.040] weren't intelligent enough to do the
[00:20:21.440] work the Anunnaki needed, but maybe they
[00:20:23.600] could become intelligent with just a
[00:20:25.840] little genetic engineering.
[00:20:35.400] There were groups of hominids living in
[00:20:37.280] the forest around the Anunnaki cities.
[00:20:39.600] These were our ancestors. They were
[00:20:41.760] either Homo Heidelbergensis or Homo
[00:20:43.920] Erectus. Yeah. Stop it. The Anunnaki
[00:20:47.160] took one of the hominid males and
[00:20:49.000] attempted to cross his genetics with the
[00:20:50.960] Anunnaki. Yeah, you Naki. Enki wanted to
[00:20:54.080] create a creature that would be
[00:20:55.200] intelligent like the Igigi, but not too
[00:20:57.640] intelligent. They would be strong, but
[00:20:59.640] much smaller than the Igigi. They would
[00:21:01.760] be engineered to be submissive and much
[00:21:03.720] easier to control.
[00:21:05.680] The first experiments were done in a lab
[00:21:07.840] and the results were horrific.
[00:21:10.560] Instead of creating a perfect being, the
[00:21:12.640] genetic experiments created monsters.
[00:21:16.640] Gorgons, Cyclops, Banshees and
[00:21:19.280] two-headed giants. These monsters still
[00:21:21.880] live on in ancient stories.
[00:21:24.040] The Anunnaki changed their approach.
[00:21:26.280] They genetically spliced their DNA with
[00:21:28.600] that of a hominid female.
[00:21:30.680] Then, rather than grow the embryo in a
[00:21:32.920] lab, they implanted it in the female.
[00:21:35.960] It worked. Less than a year later, a
[00:21:38.520] child was born, a boy.
[00:21:42.800] He looked more like the Anunnaki than
[00:21:44.520] the ape-like creatures roaming the
[00:21:45.960] forest. They named the child Adamu.
[00:21:48.880] Adamu like gay, like Adam from Adam and
[00:21:51.880] Eve? Yep. Adamu means first man. In
[00:21:55.560] Hebrew, the word also means from the
[00:21:57.200] ground or Earth. In Genesis, God made
[00:21:59.960] Adam in his own image from the dust on
[00:22:02.080] the ground. In ancient Sumerian,
[00:22:04.440] Akkadian and Babylonian texts, the
[00:22:06.640] creation of man is described the same
[00:22:08.520] way. Man is created in the image of the
[00:22:11.000] god or gods by mixing the blood of a god
[00:22:13.880] with the clay of the Earth.
[00:22:16.640] Ancient Egyptians had a story of man
[00:22:18.560] being created by mixing a tear of a god
[00:22:21.040] with the clay of the Earth. Blood or
[00:22:23.400] even a tear would contain DNA. And clay
[00:22:26.960] in ancient writings doesn't mean actual
[00:22:28.880] clay, it refers to all life on Earth.
[00:22:31.840] Every culture and religion has some
[00:22:33.760] variation of the story. Not a
[00:22:36.000] coincidence. Probably not.
[00:22:39.480] And there is that gap in history where
[00:22:41.679] hominids go from very simple primates to
[00:22:44.679] a very intelligent advanced race. We're
[00:22:47.560] far more intelligent than any of the
[00:22:49.240] species before us. You'd think there'd
[00:22:51.480] be a slow but steady evolution of
[00:22:53.440] intelligence, but we don't see it. It's
[00:22:55.920] as if humans suddenly appeared.
[00:22:59.760] Dr. Ellis Silver wrote a book about this
[00:23:01.800] jump in evolution in his book Humans Are
[00:23:04.200] Not from Earth. His theory says that
[00:23:06.520] humans were brought here by aliens. Now
[00:23:08.960] whether brought here or created here,
[00:23:11.200] the theory says humans were genetically
[00:23:13.240] engineered using alien DNA.
[00:23:16.240] Dr. Silver claims that humans are not
[00:23:18.400] well suited to Earth's environment while
[00:23:20.320] every other animal is. Why did we lose
[00:23:22.920] our fur? Human skin is very sensitive to
[00:23:25.679] sunlight and UV radiation. If we spend
[00:23:28.280] too much time in the sun, it leads to
[00:23:30.200] serious diseases, especially skin
[00:23:32.160] cancer. No other animals get sunburnt.
[00:23:35.560] Mammals have fur or thick skin. Fish
[00:23:38.280] scales, even birds feathers, all offer
[00:23:40.840] protection from the sun. Sure, pigs,
[00:23:43.520] elephants and even reptiles can get
[00:23:45.360] burnt, but they protect themselves by
[00:23:47.360] rolling around in mud or changing their
[00:23:49.240] skin.
[00:23:50.400] Now we have sunblock, but what did
[00:23:52.400] humans do to protect their skin 100,000
[00:23:55.320] years ago? Also, humans are more
[00:23:57.600] susceptible to illness, disease and
[00:23:59.720] birth disorders than other animals. I
[00:24:02.120] have two cats. I've had cats for years.
[00:24:04.720] I can't remember them ever getting sick.
[00:24:07.080] Buddy eventually got sick, but then he
[00:24:09.040] died. For 14 years, he never had so much
[00:24:11.560] as a cold. Now I know cats, dogs and
[00:24:13.960] animals do get sick, but not at the rate
[00:24:16.679] humans do.
[00:24:18.040] Dr. Silver mentions that humans tend to
[00:24:20.200] crave food that's bad for us, salt,
[00:24:22.800] sugar, fat, carbs. We're surrounded by
[00:24:25.640] vegetables, nuts and fruit, but most
[00:24:27.960] people would rather have a cheeseburger,
[00:24:29.440] fries and a milkshake. I know I would.
[00:24:32.520] Back pain is another reason Dr. Silver
[00:24:34.760] thinks humans are not from Earth. He
[00:24:36.880] claims we're not designed for Earth's
[00:24:38.520] gravity. It's too heavy. He believes we
[00:24:41.120] evolved on a planet with lower gravity.
[00:24:43.520] Like Nibiru. Right.
[00:24:45.840] The Anunnaki were very human-like, but
[00:24:48.120] they were about twice our height, 12 to
[00:24:49.920] 15 ft tall. This would indicate they
[00:24:52.280] evolved on a planet with lower gravity
[00:24:54.480] than Earth. He presents a very
[00:24:56.440] compelling case backed up by science. I
[00:24:58.840] linked to his book below.
[00:25:00.679] It's believed that Homo sapiens first
[00:25:02.560] emerged about 300,000 years ago. This is
[00:25:05.640] exactly the time of the Igigi rebellion.
[00:25:08.640] So back to the first man, Adamu. The
[00:25:10.800] Anunnaki also created a female, Hiva, so
[00:25:13.560] they can
[00:25:14.280] it that feeling. I want sexual healing,
[00:25:18.640] sexual
[00:25:20.160] healing. It's good for me.
[00:25:24.800] I continue.
[00:25:26.400] The Anunnaki needed humans to procreate
[00:25:28.679] on their own and they did, often. The
[00:25:31.560] Anunnaki guided this new race for a few
[00:25:33.720] hundred years. The population grew to
[00:25:35.760] thousands.
[00:25:37.800] The Anunnaki taught the new humans all
[00:25:40.000] the skills they needed to maintain the
[00:25:41.520] city, build homes, plant and harvest
[00:25:44.040] crops, but most importantly, the
[00:25:46.520] Anunnaki gave humans the skills to mine
[00:25:49.040] gold.
[00:25:49.760] Yeah, you Naki. The Anunnaki were so
[00:25:52.480] pleased with their creation that they
[00:25:54.400] allowed humans to visit their sacred
[00:25:56.160] garden, Eden. So Adamu and Hiva in the
[00:25:59.520] Garden of Eden, huh? According to
[00:26:01.360] ancient Sumerian writing, yes. Sounds
[00:26:03.640] familiar. Yep. There is a lot of the
[00:26:05.880] Anunnaki story in every major religion
[00:26:08.080] in the world. But now we run into a
[00:26:10.200] problem.
[00:26:17.679] Humans didn't look like apes at all.
[00:26:19.560] They looked pretty much like Anunnaki,
[00:26:21.120] just smaller. And human women were
[00:26:23.720] beautiful. Yeah, oh. That always means
[00:26:26.440] trouble. One of these women caught the
[00:26:28.600] eye of Enki, the Anunnaki ruler of the
[00:26:30.840] city Eridu.
[00:26:31.760] Yeah, there it is. Hey Enki, her eyes
[00:26:34.760] are up here. But relationships between
[00:26:37.160] Anunnaki, Igigi and humans were strictly
[00:26:39.760] forbidden. Don't sleep with the help.
[00:26:42.320] Oh, come on. That's rude.
[00:26:43.560] I'm serious. You get in trouble when you
[00:26:45.400] party with your employees. Just ask
[00:26:47.920] Arnold.
[00:26:49.280] I'm feeling flick. So Enki broke the law
[00:26:52.280] and had a relationship with a human
[00:26:54.040] woman. From this relationship, a child
[00:26:56.560] was born, a boy named Adapa. Until now,
[00:27:00.160] humans were very simple, docile beings.
[00:27:02.800] Intelligent enough to do the work the
[00:27:04.240] Anunnaki needed, but not intelligent
[00:27:06.280] enough to complain about it. The birth
[00:27:08.400] of Adapa changed everything. He was part
[00:27:10.960] human, part Anunnaki. He was extremely
[00:27:14.240] intelligent. He married a woman named
[00:27:16.440] Atiti. Atiti? Atiti. What did I say?
[00:27:21.200] From the family of Adapa began a new
[00:27:23.400] line of highly intelligent humans and
[00:27:25.840] they started asking questions. They
[00:27:28.000] inherited the Anunnaki's desire for gold
[00:27:30.560] and for power. But there was a bigger
[00:27:33.120] problem. Another trait emerged in this
[00:27:35.600] new line of intelligent humans, a trait
[00:27:38.080] that would shape the future of our
[00:27:39.480] entire species. That new trait was
[00:27:42.360] violence.
[00:27:51.120] In just a few years, the first
[00:27:53.160] generation submissive humans were gone.
[00:27:56.000] Some were murdered, but most just died
[00:27:58.040] out. The new humans had no interest in
[00:28:00.240] mating with them, but they still were
[00:28:01.880] interested in mating. Get up, get up,
[00:28:04.200] get up, get up. Let's make love tonight.
[00:28:07.960] Against the orders of the Anunnaki,
[00:28:10.080] these new intelligent violent humans
[00:28:12.440] procreated a lot.
[00:28:14.160] Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up
[00:28:16.200] because you do it right.
[00:28:21.560] Soon the city of Eridu was overrun. It
[00:28:24.280] could no longer sustain the human
[00:28:25.760] population. People were killing each
[00:28:27.560] other for food. The violence was out of
[00:28:29.679] control. Enlil was especially annoyed by
[00:28:32.840] the constant disturbance of humans. He
[00:28:35.360] decided to lessen the population by
[00:28:37.560] sending a series of plagues. First
[00:28:39.880] drought, then pestilence and then
[00:28:41.679] famine.
[00:28:43.720] After each of these plagues, the humans
[00:28:45.840] appealed to the god who made them, Enki.
[00:28:48.400] He helped ease their suffering and
[00:28:49.960] return the Earth to its natural state.
[00:28:52.640] By now, the Anunnaki had enough gold to
[00:28:54.560] heal their planet and the humans had
[00:28:56.400] become a nuisance. The Anunnaki cast
[00:28:58.919] them out of Eden and out of Eridu and
[00:29:01.520] from there, the human race spread around
[00:29:03.360] the world. But not all humans left. Some
[00:29:06.520] stayed and had relationships with
[00:29:08.040] several Anunnaki. The children born of
[00:29:10.600] these relationships were extremely
[00:29:12.640] powerful demigods.
[00:29:16.720] Legendary figures like Gilgamesh,
[00:29:18.919] Samson, Hercules and Perseus were the
[00:29:21.760] offspring of Anunnaki human unions. But
[00:29:24.760] some humans had relationships with the
[00:29:26.679] Igigi. These unions did not produce
[00:29:29.440] heroes. They produced monsters.
[00:29:33.000] These offspring were race of giants
[00:29:35.159] called the Nephilim. They were cruel and
[00:29:37.679] brutal. They tormented and tortured
[00:29:39.880] humans and in many cases, they ate them.
[00:29:42.560] Nephilim episode link below.
[00:29:46.320] Meanwhile, mankind flourished. Human
[00:29:48.760] settlements became cities and cities
[00:29:50.880] became empires. Humans conquered all
[00:29:53.640] four corners of the earth. It was a
[00:29:55.680] prosperous, if not decadent, time.
[00:30:01.280] But the human race didn't know their
[00:30:02.840] world was about to change drastically.
[00:30:08.920] It first appeared in the night sky like
[00:30:10.920] any other star. But as the weeks passed,
[00:30:13.720] the object grew brighter and larger.
[00:30:16.360] Humans were confused and growing
[00:30:18.160] concerned. They had no idea what this
[00:30:20.120] object was.
[00:30:21.640] But the Anunnaki did. It was their home.
[00:30:24.360] Nibiru takes 3,600 years to orbit the
[00:30:26.880] sun, but its orbit is highly elliptical,
[00:30:29.960] so Nibiru travels way beyond Pluto
[00:30:32.200] nearly to the Kuiper Belt, then swings
[00:30:34.560] all the way back through the inner solar
[00:30:36.240] system. During this time, it comes very
[00:30:38.640] close to the earth. So, the Anunnaki
[00:30:40.800] started packing.
[00:30:42.800] They had enough gold to heal their
[00:30:44.320] atmosphere. There was no reason to stay
[00:30:46.160] on earth anymore. Besides, when Nibiru
[00:30:48.520] got close to the earth, they did not
[00:30:50.560] want to be on the surface. Yeah, but it
[00:30:52.880] sounds ominous. Oh, yeah, it's going to
[00:30:55.200] be bad. How bad? Well, imagine every
[00:30:57.640] disaster movie you've ever seen rolled
[00:30:59.640] into one cataclysmic event. Yeah, okay,
[00:31:02.120] that's bad. It's actually way worse.
[00:31:05.120] Yeah, but what about the humans? Oh,
[00:31:07.160] after Nibiru passes by the earth,
[00:31:09.800] there won't be any humans left. Oh, no.
[00:31:20.920] The farmer was startled awake. The sun
[00:31:23.280] was just rising over the mountains in
[00:31:24.840] the east. The animals always got
[00:31:26.920] restless at sunrise, eagerly awaiting
[00:31:28.960] their breakfast. But the animals were
[00:31:31.040] more than restless. They were going
[00:31:32.880] crazy. His wife groaned and rolled over
[00:31:35.520] as he launched himself out of bed. When
[00:31:37.800] he got to his barn, the farmer was
[00:31:40.000] shocked. His horses were literally
[00:31:42.240] screaming to get out of their stalls.
[00:31:44.480] One broke its neck trying to break free.
[00:31:47.480] His sheep were running in unison like a
[00:31:49.520] flock of birds making a large circle
[00:31:52.080] within the pen.
[00:31:53.920] Occasionally, one would break off and
[00:31:55.800] throw itself against the stone corral. A
[00:31:58.440] few injured sheep limped around the
[00:32:00.120] perimeter. At least two were dead. It
[00:32:02.200] was madness.
[00:32:04.800] The farmer didn't know what caused the
[00:32:06.520] sudden alarm, but he was sure it had
[00:32:08.679] something to do with the object in the
[00:32:10.679] sky.
[00:32:12.480] His village first noticed it months ago
[00:32:14.720] when a new light appeared in the night
[00:32:16.400] sky. It looked like a star, as the sky
[00:32:19.320] gods called it. But the sky gods were
[00:32:21.679] gone now. After the new star appeared,
[00:32:24.440] they boarded great chariots that took
[00:32:26.200] them to the heavens. His people were on
[00:32:28.440] their own now.
[00:32:30.120] The object no longer looked like a star.
[00:32:32.560] It was almost the size of the moon. And
[00:32:34.920] like the moon, the farmer could see
[00:32:36.760] features on the great disc. Clouds were
[00:32:39.360] visible. He could see mountains and
[00:32:41.320] oceans. But unlike the moon, the object
[00:32:44.400] was visible during the day, constant and
[00:32:47.120] oppressive.
[00:32:51.679] He knew it was getting larger, or was it
[00:32:54.080] getting closer? It was difficult to
[00:32:55.960] tell.
[00:32:57.080] The farmer jumped when a flock of birds
[00:32:59.120] suddenly and loudly took flight. He
[00:33:01.560] scanned the forest and horizon beyond,
[00:33:04.000] and it seemed like every bird in the
[00:33:05.679] world had taken to the air.
[00:33:08.120] But there were no songs being sung. The
[00:33:10.240] birds were screeching. Then, he felt it,
[00:33:13.800] a vibration.
[00:33:15.880] At first, he thought it was his body
[00:33:17.360] trembling, but then realized the ground
[00:33:19.720] beneath his feet was trembling.
[00:33:21.920] The farmer felt the sound before he
[00:33:23.640] heard it, a hum so deep it was barely
[00:33:26.200] there. But the sound caused a wave of
[00:33:28.520] sickness to wash over him. He dropped to
[00:33:30.800] his knees to vomit when the world
[00:33:32.840] started tearing itself apart.
[00:33:36.320] He had experienced earthquakes before,
[00:33:38.440] some very powerful and frightening.
[00:33:40.840] Nothing compared to this.
[00:33:43.280] The ground shook and rolled like a boat
[00:33:45.400] at sea. Over his shoulder, he saw the
[00:33:47.840] barn crumble. He wondered how many of
[00:33:50.000] his horses were killed. He hoped his
[00:33:51.880] favorite horse survived. He wanted to
[00:33:54.040] run over and save what animals he could,
[00:33:56.080] but the tremor would not allow him to
[00:33:57.840] stand. Then, his house collapsed.
[00:34:03.000] The farmer vomited again, knowing his
[00:34:05.240] wife and three children were still
[00:34:06.840] sleeping there. He hoped they slept
[00:34:09.159] through their death.
[00:34:10.640] They didn't.
[00:34:16.440] He heard his wife screaming from the
[00:34:17.840] rubble. He heard the wail of an infant.
[00:34:20.600] Then, he heard himself screaming.
[00:34:23.159] But those sounds were suddenly
[00:34:24.600] overwhelmed by a great rumble as the
[00:34:27.000] ground lurched forward. The stone corral
[00:34:29.640] tumbled. Animals were knocked off their
[00:34:31.679] feet. Deafening thunder came next, but
[00:34:34.960] louder than any thunder he'd ever heard.
[00:34:37.280] The farmer covered his ears, but it was
[00:34:39.280] no help. What he couldn't hear, he could
[00:34:41.320] feel.
[00:34:42.520] He looked to the west. There was the
[00:34:44.720] grassy hill with the large olive tree.
[00:34:47.280] As far as he knew, the tree had been
[00:34:49.000] there forever. The graves of his parents
[00:34:51.440] and their parents were in the shade of
[00:34:53.120] that tree. He thought his grave might be
[00:34:55.440] there soon.
[00:34:59.880] Then, from over that ridge, he saw what
[00:35:02.200] seemed to be mountains of fire.
[00:35:05.320] Flaming stones as big as houses were
[00:35:07.600] launched into the sky through the clouds
[00:35:10.080] and into the heavens. Hundreds of them,
[00:35:12.480] thousands maybe.
[00:35:14.480] Dark smoke billowed from something in
[00:35:16.440] that direction. And before he knew it,
[00:35:18.600] the blue sky had turned black. The
[00:35:20.560] morning sun had disappeared.
[00:35:23.000] But at least he didn't have to look at
[00:35:24.560] the great disc anymore. He finally got
[00:35:26.640] to his feet and staggered toward his
[00:35:28.240] house. All he could hear was the growl
[00:35:30.640] of the earth, but he knew his wife was
[00:35:32.640] still alive. If he could just get to
[00:35:34.480] her, maybe he could
[00:35:39.440] Then, a hot coal landed beside him, the
[00:35:42.359] kind he'd seen in ovens at the market.
[00:35:44.480] It was bright red and aflame. Then,
[00:35:47.040] another coal landed nearby, this one a
[00:35:49.160] bit larger. They hissed as they burned
[00:35:51.440] in the tall grass. He then realized the
[00:35:54.359] rocks of fire that were launched into
[00:35:56.000] the heavens were coming home.
[00:35:58.520] Soon, stones made of fire were crashing
[00:36:00.880] all around him, and they were getting
[00:36:02.520] bigger. The barn disappeared in a hail
[00:36:04.960] of fire.
[00:36:06.280] On the ground, he saw the shadows. The
[00:36:08.480] stones were definitely getting larger,
[00:36:10.800] and they were bigger than houses, much
[00:36:12.760] bigger.
[00:36:13.960] The farmer stopped when one of the large
[00:36:16.000] shadows found him. He knew what was
[00:36:18.480] next. He said a prayer as the faint
[00:36:21.080] shadow in the grass grew larger and
[00:36:23.040] darker. He heard an approaching scream
[00:36:25.920] as the shadow spilled across his entire
[00:36:28.040] farm. Then, everything went black.
[00:36:39.760] The fisherman was working frantically.
[00:36:41.920] The great disc in the sky was shaking
[00:36:43.840] the earth and buildings were crumbling
[00:36:45.960] as if made of sand.
[00:36:48.800] He lashed ropes around a wooden pike to
[00:36:50.760] hold his boat in place. The waves were
[00:36:53.040] growing bigger and his boat was
[00:36:54.560] thrashing violently. He hoped his knot
[00:36:57.000] would hold. Occasionally, a brick made
[00:36:59.200] of fire would drop from the sky and land
[00:37:01.720] in the water with an angry hiss.
[00:37:04.800] The fisherman was more confused than
[00:37:06.760] frightened. The morning was clear and
[00:37:08.760] peaceful, and the fish were biting.
[00:37:11.840] He was going to make a fortune at the
[00:37:13.000] market, but the storm had cut his trip
[00:37:15.240] short. Now, a blanket of darkness
[00:37:17.640] covered the earth and the wind was
[00:37:19.720] howling.
[00:37:21.760] Soon, the wind's howl became a roar and
[00:37:24.280] rain thrashed so violently that the
[00:37:26.760] drops left painful welts in his skin.
[00:37:29.960] The earth had been shaking for hours, or
[00:37:32.520] was it just minutes? He couldn't tell.
[00:37:34.920] When the small houses in the village
[00:37:36.359] fell, countless lives were lost. But
[00:37:39.160] there were some survivors. They were
[00:37:41.040] making their way to the caves nearby.
[00:37:45.760] The tremors made it slow going, but the
[00:37:47.760] fisherman was sure they'd make it. A
[00:37:49.760] gust of wind felt like a shove that
[00:37:52.160] knocked the fisherman off his feet. But
[00:37:54.440] the shove continued and continued. The
[00:37:57.240] wind was so strong, the man was pinned
[00:37:59.600] to the ground, face painfully pushing
[00:38:02.200] into the sand. Any houses that survived
[00:38:04.840] the quake would not survive the gale. He
[00:38:07.640] was being pelted with sand and debris,
[00:38:10.120] and boats that weren't tied down sailed
[00:38:12.480] through the air, exploding into
[00:38:14.000] splinters when they landed.
[00:38:17.280] He once again hoped that knot would
[00:38:18.880] hold.
[00:38:20.080] He managed to get to his feet as soil
[00:38:22.280] and dust swirled around him. He couldn't
[00:38:24.280] see more than two paces in any
[00:38:25.720] direction. Unsure of where to go, he
[00:38:28.240] followed the sound of a child crying.
[00:38:31.600] But that child sounded so far, far away.
[00:38:35.840] Then, as if the sky gods had commanded
[00:38:38.120] it, the wind and rain stopped.
[00:38:47.760] Debris fell to the ground as if dropped
[00:38:50.000] by the gods' hands. The earth stopped
[00:38:52.200] trembling, though he could still feel a
[00:38:53.920] rumble somewhere down deep. It could be
[00:38:56.280] the sound of hell itself.
[00:38:58.400] He saw a few stragglers wearing heavy
[00:39:00.359] packs on their way to the caves. Behind
[00:39:03.120] him, he heard a familiar sound, the
[00:39:05.240] sound of a river. But there were no
[00:39:07.160] rivers near the village. He turned
[00:39:09.120] around and saw that the sea had all but
[00:39:11.640] disappeared. Water was rushing away at a
[00:39:14.440] ferocious speed. But to where? Soon, the
[00:39:17.480] ocean was a field of mud that stretched
[00:39:19.400] to the horizon. His boat dangled from
[00:39:21.920] the wooden pike. The knot held.
[00:39:25.720] Thousands of fish wriggled and flopped
[00:39:27.680] in the wet sand where the ocean used to
[00:39:29.520] be. He thought this would be the
[00:39:31.480] greatest feast the birds would ever see.
[00:39:34.000] Then, he realized there were no birds,
[00:39:36.680] not a single one. With the water gone,
[00:39:39.440] the only sound was that of fish flipping
[00:39:41.600] over and over again, slowly drowning in
[00:39:44.120] the air.
[00:39:46.440] The fisherman's eyes continued to the
[00:39:48.280] horizon. He saw a great white cloud
[00:39:51.000] stretch from one end of the world to the
[00:39:52.680] other. He stood silently in awe. Then he
[00:39:55.680] realized it wasn't a cloud, it was a
[00:39:58.760] mountain and it was growing. But how
[00:40:01.600] could it be a mountain?
[00:40:04.240] It was a mountain of water, a wave, the
[00:40:07.200] biggest wave he'd ever seen, the biggest
[00:40:09.760] wave anyone had ever seen.
[00:40:12.560] As it approached, its crest pierced the
[00:40:14.960] clouds, taller than any mountain, higher
[00:40:17.800] than any bird could fly, bigger than
[00:40:19.840] anything the fisherman had ever seen.
[00:40:22.480] His father had taught him how to steady
[00:40:24.080] his boat when a big wave hits, but his
[00:40:26.360] father never mentioned a wave that
[00:40:28.080] touched the heavens. Soon, what little
[00:40:30.480] light seeped through the gloom was
[00:40:32.240] snuffed out by the shadow of the wall of
[00:40:34.560] water. The wave rushed ahead at great
[00:40:37.080] speed. The man thought that not even the
[00:40:39.200] fastest horse could outrun it. Within
[00:40:41.920] seconds, the wall of water was all he
[00:40:44.160] could see. It was coming. The man sighed
[00:40:47.440] and settled his breath. He'd been born
[00:40:49.600] by the sea and he would die by the sea.
[00:40:52.360] This would be a good death. He closed
[00:40:54.360] his eyes, opened his arms wide, and
[00:40:57.320] smiled.
[00:41:05.960] In orbit, the Anunnaki watched the
[00:41:07.720] continents of the Earth sink beneath the
[00:41:09.520] ocean. Tiny islands, once the peaks of
[00:41:12.160] great mountains, appeared here and
[00:41:14.200] there, but they were too few for anyone
[00:41:16.280] to survive, for anything to survive.
[00:41:20.520] They knew the great flood was coming.
[00:41:22.680] Nibiru passes by the Earth every 3,600
[00:41:25.200] years, but the distance varies.
[00:41:27.800] Sometimes Nibiru stays far outside the
[00:41:29.920] moon's orbit and the effects on Earth
[00:41:31.920] are small, but sometimes, like this
[00:41:34.360] visit, Nibiru was soared between the
[00:41:36.680] Earth and the moon at 40,000 miles per
[00:41:39.440] hour. The Anunnaki knew the Earth would
[00:41:41.760] be devastated. In the months prior,
[00:41:44.040] there was a lot of debate among the
[00:41:45.680] elder Anunnaki. Yeah, Anunnaki. At
[00:41:48.400] first, they decided to let humanity
[00:41:50.320] perish. Enlil said that humans served
[00:41:52.680] their purpose and now were nothing but a
[00:41:54.600] nuisance. A great flood was just what
[00:41:56.600] the Earth needed, a fresh start. But
[00:41:58.920] Enki had grown to love humans. Remember,
[00:42:01.240] he married a human woman.
[00:42:03.280] Enki offered Enlil and the other
[00:42:04.920] Anunnaki a compromise. The flood would
[00:42:07.600] come as planned, but one man and his
[00:42:10.080] family would be spared.
[00:42:12.480] Utnapishtim, a wise and good man. He and
[00:42:15.560] his wife and family would build a large
[00:42:17.520] boat. An ark. Yes, and on that boat,
[00:42:20.880] they would take the seeds of all living
[00:42:22.680] creatures. When the flood came, all life
[00:42:25.360] on Earth was destroyed, but Utnapishtim,
[00:42:27.960] his family, and the contents of his boat
[00:42:30.080] survived.
[00:42:32.080] Every day, Utnapishtim released birds to
[00:42:34.520] find land. One day, a raven did not
[00:42:36.880] return. He sailed in that direction.
[00:42:39.880] After a few days, the boat came to rest
[00:42:41.680] on an island that, as the waters
[00:42:43.600] receded, became a mountain top. And now
[00:42:46.240] life, including humanity, would start
[00:42:48.360] again. Uh that's the story of Noah's
[00:42:51.080] ark.
[00:42:52.120] It is, but this version is from the Epic
[00:42:54.440] of Gilgamesh, written at least 3,000
[00:42:56.680] years earlier, and the story's probably
[00:42:58.840] much older than that.
[00:43:00.600] Every culture and religion on Earth has
[00:43:02.760] a flood myth, which are all very similar
[00:43:05.040] to the Sumerian flood myth. Some
[00:43:07.000] cultures tell the identical story just
[00:43:09.040] with different names. So, mankind is
[00:43:11.840] reborn, but this time the Anunnaki put
[00:43:14.400] in some safeguards.
[00:43:17.120] They shortened the human lifespan. They
[00:43:19.240] made us more susceptible to illness.
[00:43:21.520] They made childbirth dangerous for both
[00:43:23.480] mother and child. They would not let the
[00:43:25.840] human population get out of control. Uh
[00:43:28.040] Bill Gates and the World Economic Forum
[00:43:30.120] would be proud. They would. You're going
[00:43:32.560] to live in a pod and eat bugs, you know.
[00:43:34.720] I am not eating bugs. Yeah, worms are
[00:43:36.760] pretty good. I like sushi. Your job cuts
[00:43:39.960] deep, sir. It cuts me to the quick.
[00:43:44.040] Soon, new settlements and villages
[00:43:46.120] emerged, but all of humanity's previous
[00:43:48.320] knowledge was lost to the sea. They were
[00:43:50.680] back to the Stone Age.
[00:43:52.800] Enki and even Enlil were impressed by
[00:43:54.960] the resilience of man and decided to
[00:43:57.120] visit the settlements. The Anunnaki
[00:43:59.240] descended from the heavens and rose from
[00:44:01.440] the seas to give people the gift of
[00:44:03.800] civilization.
[00:44:05.920] Humans are taught reading and writing,
[00:44:07.640] mathematics, astronomy, and even
[00:44:09.760] engineering. They're taught how to build
[00:44:11.840] great cities. And some believe the
[00:44:13.880] Anunnaki helped them build huge
[00:44:15.400] structures like pyramids and obelisks
[00:44:18.080] found in Egypt and South America.
[00:44:20.760] And those pyramids and obelisks were
[00:44:22.320] built for a specific purpose, by the
[00:44:24.040] way. Tesla might have figured it out,
[00:44:25.920] but that's another story. Tesla pyramid
[00:44:28.480] link below.
[00:44:30.040] The last time Nibiru passed by Earth was
[00:44:32.200] about 700 years ago.
[00:44:34.600] That time happens to coincide with the
[00:44:36.680] emergence of the Sumerian civilization,
[00:44:39.160] the first civilization on Earth.
[00:44:42.000] Or was it?
[00:44:43.359] Nibiru passes by Earth every 3,600
[00:44:45.520] years. Sometimes Nibiru comes so close
[00:44:48.040] to the Earth that the planet is wiped
[00:44:49.960] clean.
[00:44:51.440] About 13,000 years ago, the end of the
[00:44:53.920] Younger Dryas, was the time of the great
[00:44:56.359] flood. This coincides with the time when
[00:44:59.240] Nibiru would be passing by.
[00:45:02.320] Some believe a meteor impact caused the
[00:45:04.240] flood. Others believe it was a major
[00:45:06.240] solar event.
[00:45:07.720] But what if it was Nibiru that caused
[00:45:09.440] the ice sheets to melt and flood the
[00:45:11.120] Earth? What if that's the exact story
[00:45:13.440] that we've heard today?
[00:45:15.200] The earliest great flood myth comes from
[00:45:17.440] ancient Sumer, about 7,000 years ago.
[00:45:20.320] However, tablets and tablets of Sumerian
[00:45:22.600] writing still exist, writing that fills
[00:45:25.400] books upon books. The Sumerians wrote
[00:45:27.600] down everything. They said the great
[00:45:29.840] flood story, which was told in the Epic
[00:45:31.680] of Gilgamesh, happened many years
[00:45:33.840] earlier. The dates work out. And if the
[00:45:36.720] Sumerians were right, there was a
[00:45:38.720] civilization on Earth before the flood,
[00:45:41.000] as many researchers like Graham Hancock
[00:45:42.960] claim. Now, that previous civilization
[00:45:45.400] didn't have advanced technology, but
[00:45:47.440] they certainly witnessed it.
[00:45:50.960] Carvings and texts from ancient Sumer,
[00:45:53.320] India, China, Japan, Egypt, Pacific
[00:45:56.200] Islanders, Native Americans, they all
[00:45:58.840] tell the same story. Gods who rode
[00:46:01.359] chariots in the sky, gods who created
[00:46:03.720] mankind, gods who destroyed the Earth
[00:46:06.160] with a flood, and gods who helped us
[00:46:08.200] rebuild it.
[00:46:09.800] Nibiru is due to return around the year
[00:46:11.600] 2900. Now, maybe it will be a gentle
[00:46:14.520] transit and humanity will continue to
[00:46:16.440] evolve and innovate. Maybe by then we'll
[00:46:18.880] have learned a way to communicate with
[00:46:20.400] the ancient sky gods. Yeah, Anunnaki.
[00:46:24.520] Or maybe Nibiru's next visit will be a
[00:46:26.600] violent one, bringing with it another
[00:46:28.600] cataclysm that wipes the Earth clean.
[00:46:31.359] So, does that mean all of humanity is
[00:46:32.960] destroyed and we have to start again?
[00:46:35.600] I don't think so.
[00:46:37.240] Technology is going to keep moving
[00:46:38.720] forward. By the time the year 2900
[00:46:41.400] arrives, I'm sure we'll be building
[00:46:43.359] outposts on the moon, Mars, Europa,
[00:46:46.080] Enceladus. We'll be mining asteroids and
[00:46:48.680] stopping at Europa to refuel and refill
[00:46:50.800] our water tanks. Humanity will be a
[00:46:53.200] spacefaring species. And like we've
[00:46:55.520] conquered every corner of the Earth, I
[00:46:57.440] believe with a little luck and a lot of
[00:46:59.160] cooperation, we can conquer every corner
[00:47:01.880] of our solar system. Nibiru may destroy
[00:47:04.480] the Earth in the year 2900, but that's
[00:47:07.320] okay, because by then
[00:47:09.840] we'll be the sky gods.
[00:47:19.359] The Anunnaki. The sky gods from Nibiru
[00:47:22.280] who traveled to the Earth in search of
[00:47:23.920] gold needed to save their planet.
[00:47:28.000] And while here, they created the human
[00:47:29.480] race as a slave species to mine that
[00:47:32.040] gold. Eventually, humans grew too
[00:47:34.080] intelligent, greedy, arrogant, and
[00:47:36.080] violent. Then they were wiped out in a
[00:47:38.359] global flood when Nibiru passed close to
[00:47:40.840] the Earth.
[00:47:42.000] This story is one of my all-time
[00:47:43.760] favorites and it is a classic. The
[00:47:46.359] Ancient Aliens television series is
[00:47:48.120] built around this story.
[00:47:50.560] But is it true? Ancient astronaut
[00:47:52.840] theorists say yes. I know they do.
[00:47:56.240] Almost all the Anunnaki ancient alien
[00:47:58.320] story comes from the work of Zecharia
[00:48:00.520] Sitchin. His book, The 12th Planet,
[00:48:02.600] explained how the story is written word
[00:48:04.840] for word in ancient Sumerian texts. His
[00:48:07.400] first book was such a hit that he wrote
[00:48:09.280] a whole series about ancient aliens and
[00:48:11.200] their time here on Earth.
[00:48:13.080] Sitchin spent over 20 years studying
[00:48:15.160] Sumerian tablets and teaching himself
[00:48:17.560] ancient languages. He translated
[00:48:19.800] thousands of texts and a legend was
[00:48:22.160] born.
[00:48:23.560] So, who was Zecharia Sitchin? A
[00:48:25.960] Sumerologist? An archaeologist? A
[00:48:28.520] philologist? What in the name of Anu is
[00:48:31.320] a philologist? A philologist studies
[00:48:33.880] languages that are no longer spoken,
[00:48:35.960] like Latin, ancient Greek, Sanskrit,
[00:48:38.200] Sumerian, and many others. So,
[00:48:40.520] philologist, archaeologist,
[00:48:42.400] Sumerologist,
[00:48:43.920] Sitchin was none of these. He claimed to
[00:48:46.280] have an economics degree from the
[00:48:47.720] University of London, though that's
[00:48:49.520] never been confirmed.
[00:48:51.760] While he was working for a shipping
[00:48:53.200] company in New York, he taught himself
[00:48:55.520] Sumerian cuneiform. He then visited some
[00:48:58.160] ancient sites and started to piece
[00:49:00.160] together the ancient astronaut theory.
[00:49:02.960] Now, I'm a huge fan of Zecharia Sitchin.
[00:49:05.040] I've read all of his books many times
[00:49:07.000] and they're brilliant. But But he was
[00:49:09.560] wrong about just about everything. Oh,
[00:49:11.840] no. His translations of Sumerian writing
[00:49:14.720] are more interpretations than actual
[00:49:17.080] translations. He even gets the meaning
[00:49:19.320] of the word Anunnaki wrong.
[00:49:22.960] In the ancient texts of Sumeria,
[00:49:25.840] the term Anunnaki means those who from
[00:49:29.560] the heavens came.
[00:49:32.240] Yeah, that's wrong. The Ancient Aliens
[00:49:34.200] TV show uses Zecharia Sitchin's
[00:49:36.359] translation, not the real translation.
[00:49:39.160] Anunnaki actually means royal blood or
[00:49:41.640] royal seed. Anu was the king of the gods
[00:49:44.800] and his consort was named Ki. The
[00:49:47.280] Anunnaki were descended from Anu and Ki.
[00:49:50.640] They became the gods in the Mesopotamian
[00:49:52.560] pantheon. Sitchin's book was released in
[00:49:55.080] 1976. There was no internet. There were
[00:49:58.080] no databases of ancient writing and
[00:49:59.920] cuneiform. But now there is.
[00:50:04.080] Because we now know so much about how
[00:50:06.040] the Sumerians spoke and wrote, we also
[00:50:08.440] know that Zecharia Sitchin wasn't a very
[00:50:10.440] good translator. He got even basic words
[00:50:12.960] and grammar wrong. In fact, the title
[00:50:15.440] The 12th Planet refers to the image on
[00:50:17.720] the Sumerian cylinder seal VA 243.
[00:50:23.720] On the seal, the sun is surrounded by 12
[00:50:25.680] objects that appear to be planets.
[00:50:28.120] Sitchin claims that the Sumerians knew
[00:50:29.760] of all the planets in the solar system
[00:50:31.920] plus Nibiru and a few other objects.
[00:50:35.000] Now, the truth is, the Sumerians did
[00:50:36.960] know about planets, but they didn't know
[00:50:38.840] of any beyond Saturn. They didn't have
[00:50:40.800] telescopes and Saturn was all that they
[00:50:42.960] could see with the naked eye. Uh maybe
[00:50:45.160] the Anunnaki told them. Hang on, I'm
[00:50:47.360] getting there.
[00:50:51.000] Other things Sitchin got wrong. Not a
[00:50:53.000] single Sumerian text mentions a flying
[00:50:55.400] vehicle. Yes, we read about them in
[00:50:57.240] other cultures. Ancient Indians wrote
[00:50:59.320] extensively about Vimana, giant vessels
[00:51:02.080] that could soar above the clouds. And in
[00:51:04.360] researching this episode, I learned all
[00:51:06.520] kinds of interesting things about Vimana
[00:51:08.360] that I didn't know. And if you want a
[00:51:09.960] full video on that, let me know. It
[00:51:11.280] would be a good one.
[00:51:12.960] Back to Sitchin.
[00:51:15.040] The Sumerians wrote about gold a few
[00:51:16.880] times, but not that much. And there's
[00:51:18.960] nothing in the text about mining gold to
[00:51:20.840] heal the atmosphere on Nibiru.
[00:51:23.200] By the way, Nibiru means crossing.
[00:51:25.520] Sitchin interpreted this to mean it was
[00:51:27.840] a planet that crossed the Earth's orbit
[00:51:29.720] every 3,600 years, but that's not what
[00:51:32.360] Nibiru was. Nibiru or the crossing was
[00:51:35.760] often associated with the solstice.
[00:51:38.680] It could refer to an object in the sky
[00:51:40.320] that indicated a solstice or it could
[00:51:42.400] mean the sun or possibly a star crossing
[00:51:45.040] a certain way during a solstice.
[00:51:47.760] Sitchin took this idea and ran with it.
[00:51:50.240] He interpreted Nibiru to be a planet,
[00:51:52.520] but it wasn't. I'm not sure how he came
[00:51:54.600] up with the 3,600 year orbit, but if a
[00:51:56.920] huge object roared past the Earth every
[00:51:59.160] 3,600 years, you think there'd be plenty
[00:52:01.760] of documentation.
[00:52:02.840] But maybe it was lost in the flood.
[00:52:04.880] Well, now the flood is interesting.
[00:52:06.720] Every culture and religion has a flood
[00:52:08.640] myth. I think the count is up to 140 and
[00:52:11.800] maybe more. And they're all very, very
[00:52:14.120] similar stories. Frequently, eight
[00:52:16.560] people are saved as in the stories of
[00:52:18.440] Noah, Utnapishtim and many others. It's
[00:52:21.480] been said that all the flood myths are
[00:52:23.200] copied from the others and that the
[00:52:24.800] flood in the Bible is derived from the
[00:52:26.520] Epic of Gilgamesh. But when the ancient
[00:52:28.680] Sumerians wrote about the flood, even to
[00:52:30.920] them, this was an event that happened in
[00:52:32.800] their ancient history. The Younger
[00:52:34.760] Dryas. It could be. I think it probably
[00:52:37.400] was. I think all these myths were
[00:52:39.600] referring to the same great flood and
[00:52:41.520] they didn't copy each other. I think
[00:52:43.880] they all arose independently. The
[00:52:46.000] ancient Chinese, Mayans, Nordics and
[00:52:48.360] Polynesians weren't intermingling in
[00:52:50.240] ancient times. Yet they all tell the
[00:52:52.320] same story. Probably because it
[00:52:54.720] happened.
[00:52:56.840] Also, almost as many cultures have a
[00:52:59.080] creation myth about a god adding his own
[00:53:01.920] essence to clay. The essence could be
[00:53:04.400] DNA and the clay could represent early
[00:53:06.960] hominids.
[00:53:08.480] Zecharia Sitchin's ancient astronaut
[00:53:10.560] theory is considered pseudoscience. His
[00:53:12.920] work has been called far worse.
[00:53:15.480] So, is the story of the Anunnaki and
[00:53:17.360] Nibiru debunked?
[00:53:19.280] Well, not so fast.
[00:53:21.400] Debunkers have been asking for hard
[00:53:23.120] evidence, physical proof of the
[00:53:25.200] Anunnaki.
[00:53:27.240] For thousands of years, the Sumerian
[00:53:29.120] cities of Eridu and Ur were myths, but
[00:53:32.080] they were eventually found. And in the
[00:53:34.240] city of Ur, a tomb was discovered. In
[00:53:36.760] the tomb was the skeleton of a queen of
[00:53:39.280] the first Sumerian dynasty. The first
[00:53:41.720] queen. Yep. That would make her a human
[00:53:44.920] Anunnaki hybrid. Well, according to the
[00:53:47.280] legend, it would. Is she?
[00:53:49.840] Sure looks like it. Yatzee!
[00:53:59.520] The ancient Sumerian city of Ur had been
[00:54:01.440] lost for thousands of years, but in the
[00:54:03.680] early 20th century, it was discovered.
[00:54:06.200] In 1927, British archaeologist Leonard
[00:54:08.840] Woolley discovered the remains of Queen
[00:54:11.040] Puabi. She's queen of the first dynasty
[00:54:13.640] of Ur, which, if you believe the ancient
[00:54:16.000] astronaut theory, places her very close
[00:54:18.600] to when the Anunnaki started creating
[00:54:20.280] humans.
[00:54:21.680] It's been speculated that Queen Puabi
[00:54:23.760] was a human Anunnaki hybrid.
[00:54:27.000] Her skull was huge, elongated, and the
[00:54:29.680] Anunnaki were described as having skulls
[00:54:31.720] just like this. There's currently an
[00:54:33.680] effort to have her DNA tested, but that
[00:54:35.960] project has been met with some
[00:54:37.600] resistance. Yeah, predictable. Now,
[00:54:40.200] Queen Puabi is not unique. Elongated
[00:54:42.760] skulls have been found all over the
[00:54:44.400] world. A large number of them have been
[00:54:46.359] found in Peru. They're called the
[00:54:48.440] Paracas skulls. Yeah, let me guess.
[00:54:50.760] They're also against DNA testing.
[00:54:53.520] They're actually not. Their DNA was
[00:54:55.640] tested in 2014 and the results were
[00:54:58.359] surprising.
[00:55:01.160] The skulls date back thousands of years
[00:55:04.000] and have DNA only found in people in the
[00:55:06.440] Middle East. Uh uh correct me if I'm
[00:55:08.920] wrong, but the Peru is not in the Middle
[00:55:11.200] East, is it? It's not.
[00:55:13.160] And listen to this. The DNA from the
[00:55:15.240] largest skull has genetics that
[00:55:17.320] originate in Mesopotamia.
[00:55:19.760] They're real.
[00:55:21.520] Anunnaki. Well, mainstream science
[00:55:23.560] doesn't think so. Yeah, mainstream
[00:55:25.280] science can go pound.
[00:55:29.480] One of the researchers of the skulls,
[00:55:31.320] L.A. Marzulli, believes the skulls
[00:55:33.560] belong to Nephilim hybrids. And it's
[00:55:36.080] interesting that people with Middle
[00:55:37.560] Eastern DNA were in the jungles of South
[00:55:40.000] America thousands of years ago. Are they
[00:55:42.720] Nephilim? Yep. Anunnaki hybrids? Yep.
[00:55:46.080] I'll leave it to you to decide.
[00:55:48.040] Now, we know Sitchin was wrong about the
[00:55:49.680] planet Nibiru.
[00:55:51.240] But in 2015, Caltech researchers found
[00:55:55.040] evidence of a huge object deep in the
[00:55:57.640] solar system. It's a planet about the
[00:55:59.760] size of Neptune with an orbit so
[00:56:02.240] elliptical it reaches far beyond Pluto.
[00:56:05.120] Just like Nibiru. Yep.
[00:56:09.080] Now, there are no photographs of it yet,
[00:56:11.080] but it's so large that its gravity is
[00:56:13.200] affecting the orbits of objects in the
[00:56:15.000] Kuiper Belt.
[00:56:16.760] Researchers say there is a 98% chance
[00:56:20.000] the object is there. Anunnaki.
[00:56:27.560] It was a long-held belief that Homo
[00:56:29.640] sapiens' large brain is what made us so
[00:56:32.200] intelligent. But a Neanderthal brain was
[00:56:34.720] the same size as ours. Now, they weren't
[00:56:37.359] simple cavemen. Neanderthals built
[00:56:39.400] families, societies, created art, music
[00:56:42.600] and waged organized war.
[00:56:44.840] But Homo sapiens eventually wiped out
[00:56:46.720] Neanderthals.
[00:56:48.240] How?
[00:56:50.440] Neanderthals were extremely strong, far
[00:56:53.520] more physically powerful than humans,
[00:56:55.960] and they had the same size brain. They
[00:56:58.400] should have destroyed us. Why didn't
[00:57:00.440] they?
[00:57:01.520] In 2013, Homo naledi was discovered.
[00:57:05.080] Homo naledi are an extinct species of
[00:57:07.520] early humans. They had very small
[00:57:09.960] brains, only about 1/3 the size of ours.
[00:57:13.359] Yet they knew how to make stone tools.
[00:57:15.280] They conducted funeral rituals, which
[00:57:17.160] implies they had religion or some idea
[00:57:19.720] of an afterlife, which also implies they
[00:57:22.120] had language. They were very
[00:57:24.000] intelligent.
[00:57:25.800] So, if brain size doesn't indicate
[00:57:27.560] intelligence, what does?
[00:57:30.080] Well, in 2020, a very interesting study
[00:57:32.359] was released by scientists at the Max
[00:57:34.760] Planck Institute of Cell Biology and
[00:57:37.000] Genetics. They identified a genetic
[00:57:39.240] mutation that triggered the faster
[00:57:41.640] creation of neurons in the Homo sapien
[00:57:43.840] brain. The gene is known as TKTL1.
[00:57:47.440] Other hominids also had this gene,
[00:57:49.560] including Neanderthals, but they all
[00:57:51.960] differ from the modern human gene by one
[00:57:55.000] amino acid. This small change wouldn't
[00:57:57.960] come from crossbreeding or years of
[00:57:59.840] evolution.
[00:58:01.600] The only time we see a single gene
[00:58:03.520] altered this specifically is when that
[00:58:06.000] gene is targeted and manipulated with
[00:58:08.320] technology, with genetic engineering.
[00:58:13.520] By altering this one gene, Homo sapiens
[00:58:16.280] are able to grow neurons much faster
[00:58:18.720] than any other hominid species, faster
[00:58:21.560] by far.
[00:58:24.120] For 300,000 years, Homo sapiens didn't
[00:58:26.880] change much. They didn't invent or
[00:58:28.720] innovate. In fact, Neanderthals were the
[00:58:30.920] dominant species on Earth up until about
[00:58:33.120] 50,000 years ago.
[00:58:35.040] Then something happened.
[00:58:37.280] Man suddenly started to create, reason
[00:58:40.040] and invent. Within a few generations,
[00:58:42.800] Neanderthals were wiped out and Homo
[00:58:45.000] sapiens conquered the world. And our
[00:58:47.359] species has been rapidly advancing ever
[00:58:49.760] since.
[00:58:54.800] That gene, TKTL1, with just a tiny
[00:58:58.240] tweak, acted like a turbo switch in our
[00:59:00.760] minds and made us who we are today.
[00:59:03.720] Now, you may not believe in the
[00:59:04.960] Anunnaki, but you still have to wonder,
[00:59:08.359] who flipped the switch?
[00:59:15.320] Thank you so much for hanging out with
[00:59:16.720] me today. My name is A.J. That's Psycho
[00:59:18.480] Fish. Anunnaki. Anunnaki. Are you happy
[00:59:21.960] we finally did an Anunnaki episode and
[00:59:24.040] it was a long one?
[00:59:24.920] Yeah, could have been longer. That's
[00:59:26.480] what she said. Nice. This has been the
[00:59:28.840] Wi Files. Now, if you had fun or learned
[00:59:30.440] anything, do him a favor, like,
[00:59:32.000] subscribe, comment, share. That stuff
[00:59:34.240] really makes his fins wiggle. Like most

[01:05:00.040] feeling is
[01:05:01.480] right
[01:05:02.400] always
