Source: YouTube, uploaded by Somewhere in the Skies with Ryan Sprague on 2026-01-20. Duration: 7:16.
Original event: National Press Club UAP press conference, hosted by James Fox on 2026-01-20. The excerpt corresponds approximately to 1:56:02-2:03:22 of the full stream.
Capture: Complete English manual captions retrieved with youtube_transcript.py --timestamps --manual on 2026-09-08. The excerpt begins and ends in the middle of the full event.
Identification: The full event introduces Kirk McConnell by name at 19:08 and again at 2:03:44. The grey-haired man with glasses seated behind Fred Claussen in this excerpt is McConnell. A same-day Getty Images caption also identifies McConnell at the event.
Cross-event identification: Claussen is the white-haired man directly behind Leslie Kean at 24:53 in disclosure-day-capitol-2026-06-09-whisper.
Title note: Claussen attributes the reported flight to Brazilian authorities, calls its cargo "unusual," and says "if true" before describing the possible paper trail. The video title's statement that he confirmed bodies were transported is stronger than his remarks.

[00:00:01.040] and he's like, "Oh, I'm actually a retired United
States Air Force colonel and uh I'm also a fighter
[00:00:06.800] pilot and I had a pretty dramatic UFO encounter
back in 1980, which coincidentally was covered
[00:00:12.160] up." H Okay, that explains it. So he eventually
uh came forward uh to share publicly his UFO
[00:00:22.480] encounter. But today he's here to talk about
something I feel is extremely significant and
[00:00:27.520] that is this potential flight that came in from
the United States of America in January of 1996.
[00:00:34.080] So without further ado, Colonel Clausen, thank
you so much for being here today. Here we go.
[00:00:53.200] My name is Fred Clawson. I'm a retired US
Air Force Bird Colonel and fighter pilot.
[00:01:01.760] I have more than 4,000 hours of flying time in
the F-15, the F4, and I flew combat missions in
[00:01:10.480] the F105 during Vietnam conflict. I was awarded
the Distinguished Flying Cross twice and held
[00:01:20.400] a top secret SCI clearance. While flying the
F-15, I intercepted a UFO. I took gun camera
[00:01:31.520] film which was immediately confiscated. But
that's another story for another time. Today
[00:01:41.360] I am speaking on another matter, a matter that
requires world attention. According to several
[00:01:50.800] Brazilian authorities, including air traffic
controller Marcos Feres, on or about the 20th of
[00:01:59.520] January 1996, a US Air Force cargo plane, most
likely a C17, took off from a base in the US,
[00:02:13.040] and it flew secretly into Brazilian airspace
without flight clearance from Brazil.
[00:02:19.280] Ian government and it landed at Vicopos airport
in Capinis. While at Capinis, witnesses talked
[00:02:30.880] of it loading an unusual cargo, then departing
to an unknown location in the United States.
[00:02:42.240] If true, I am certain that 30 to 40 Americans
had direct knowledge of this flight and its
[00:02:52.640] purpose. I will now walk you through a potential
paper trail this mission could have left behind.
[00:03:04.400] In order to secure a cargo plane, a specific
protocol must be adhered to. The tasking would
[00:03:13.680] be sent to Air Mobility Command at Scott
Air Force Base, Illinois, who has command
[00:03:21.120] authority over all US Air Force cargo aircraft
and refueling tankers. A paper trail has begun.
[00:03:34.960] Air Mobility Command transmiss transmits a mission
order to the Air Mobility Wing at Charleston Air
[00:03:43.920] Force Base, South Carolina. Another paper
trail at Charleston. A crew is selected
[00:03:52.320] for the mission and a C17 cargo aircraft is made
ready. The distance from Charleston to Capinus,
[00:04:03.440] Brazil is roughly 4500 miles. The unrefueled
range of a C17 is about 2500 miles. Therefore,
[00:04:16.480] air refueling by KC 135 would be required. More
people in the no and another paper trail. An
[00:04:28.240] international flight plan to Brazil is required
even if the mission is classified. Paper trail.
[00:04:39.200] On board the C17 is a minimum crew of a pilot,
co-pilot, and loadmaster, but due to the nature
[00:04:48.880] of the mission, probably more. maybe CIA and
a general officer. The C17 lands at Capinus
[00:05:02.480] and must be refueled. Who pays for the fuel and
where's the receipt? Before departing Capinis,
[00:05:13.440] another international flight plan must be filed.
Again, more paper trail. The C17 flies back to
[00:05:24.160] the United States with tanker support and lands
at an undisclosed location. As you can see from
[00:05:34.000] this possible scenario, I estimate that at least
30 to 40 Americans have direct knowledge of this
[00:05:43.280] mission. So here is my plea today. If you were
a participant and have knowledge of the mission,
[00:05:54.800] come forward. You are probably retired now
in your 70s, maybe a little older like me,
[00:06:04.320] and have languished for 30 years with
this knowledge. Come forward. We know
[00:06:12.320] this mission happened, and you know it, too. Come
forward. The time is now. Thank you. Wow. What a
[00:06:26.800] what a standup guy for that's exactly right.
There will be witnesses. Thank you, Colonel.
[00:06:40.320] Thank you, Colonel. Uh it was because of of
Colonel Clausston that we actually our team filed
[00:06:46.960] a um foyer request and that foyer request is in
the latest cut of the film New Revelations, Moment
[00:06:53.280] of Contact, New Revelations and interestingly
enough we filed it in 2022. We got a response
[00:06:59.600] back three years later and it was from the CIA.
It was like essentially, you know, because of the
[00:07:08.160] 1949 National Security Act, blah blah blah, your
request is denied. We can neither confirm nor you
