in 1994
three days of sightings across zimbabwe
culminated in what some believe is the
most significant close encounter
in modern history hundreds of people
today phoned the zbc and the bbc
correspondent in harare
saying they cited an unidentifying
flying object last night with some
eyewitness reports
it almost seemed to be under the clouds
but it came past i noticed there's no
noise and that's when i thought there's
something very on here
on september 14 1994 something flashed
through the sky in southern africa
alarming a few and confounding everyone
we interviewed about 64 children in
front of the camera
well the night before i saw the cigar
shaped
spacecraft but i've got it in my picture
but
it wasn't exactly like a cigar i thought
it was a circle
um the day before the spaceship came my
friends and i were sitting um
in the playground and uh one of my
friends her name emily she looked up
into the sky and she said
oh there's a ufo she said and i looked
at it and she said no just kidding it's
an airplane
and we looked up and um it was just kind
of flying along slowly
i thought to myself that can't be an
airplane because it was very shiny it
was
it looked kind of like a cigarette you
know it looked like a cigar
it was a long thing and then on the end
it was all shiny it
flew along for about a minute or so and
then it disappeared but
so i said maybe it is a ufo so we're all
kind of like getting scared now
and then um the day that it happened
then we started thinking yeah there must
have been a ufo in the sky
because my brother also saw it but he's
left the school
when i saw now maroon color in the sky
we're just walking
and then we saw this maroon color just
waving about and it was disappearing and
disappearing
and we started to follow it it's like a
silver light
it was a silver oval thing that
um flew past really slowly it was a
silver flash just like that
i thought no it's not a ufo and then i
looked carefully at it
and i thought maybe
what did something look like it looked
like a super that the shape wasn't
really around like it looks like
roundabout like a
like a disc like a round like a round
shape it's not like a
plate so like two plates that was just
like on top of each other
it had a long top
it was silver and the ring around it was
red
it was red did light come from the whole
thing or there were lights around here
lights along the edge there
there was this big ship it had these
lights these patterns and it flew
it was red green and yellow and i saw
this
this shift and it had this light like a
pattern
um yellow purple and
green to keep on going around and it was
like in a multi-way pattern
on it like silver and green
and that sort of colors it had uh
orangey red like glittering thing and
kept her moving at the side
but it was like it was going like each
one to each one but quickly
like as if it was one ship moving yeah
they saw many spacecraft i saw
a little object hovering that was quite
big actually
and then there was little ones all
around it you saw one ufo
that's surrounded by little ones yeah
one favorite
spaceship quite a few little ones
scattered all around
how many are quite a few
about two or three or four four
we passed really slowly i saw the bigger
one and the spaceship like four or five
of them
sort of one big one with quite a few
little ones
were all scattered around i saw the
bigger one
and the spaceship like four or five of
them like crawling around it's about
four and what's what the little ones
doing
no they were they were very stoked and
what happened with the little ones
the little ones they were just flowing
around
yes and this like there was a man
and you walked towards us and you walked
back again standing by
the soul thing she and i saw
a being a human-esque form but
much shorter
you see that that morning here at the
school
well my these other children were
running i
asked them what it was and they said it
was a ufo
and i ran with them to the logs over
there and i said
what must that be and everybody's
crowding it i must go crowd too
so we all ran down over there then i
went and i started crowding and
everybody
then more people came more and i said
hey i can't see anymore come on
somebody i'm sure come on what did you
do
did you run to fetch the teachers or you
just stayed with the other children i
stayed with the other children
and then i went to the front and i
started seeing more of them and then i
just ran away
they took us back to the moment of
content exactly how i felt exactly
and i actually saw this in the trees
the silver thing down there i saw this
this silver thing it in amongst this
clump of of trees with this
i looked and i saw this selfish
type thing in the and then we saw
something shiny i saw
something um shiny uh a ways away
in in the bush you couldn't see that
clearly
it was just silver all over i saw
something silver on the ground
amongst the trees and we got closer and
closer and we saw this
um silver thing just shining it
the silver thing it in amongst this
clump of trees and we saw
a silver silver thing also like in
between two trees
it was flashing you could see it and you
couldn't see it well
it's it was just glinting in the trees
it was in the trees over there
like in the trees like in the trees like
linting
and like there was somebody on the
ground but it was incredibly incredibly
bright
and whereabouts was it was in the trees
over there
between uh
dozens of children said that one or more
of the disc shaped objects
landed just beyond the far edge of their
and playground were playing down over
there on them
on the log yeah did you see the things
whatever it was land
yes it's like ship landed on the ground
and all i saw was something
like super coming down
what scared you the noise what noise
the noise that we heard in the air you
heard a noise in the air
what was it like like a roar or a buzz
or a hum or what kind of a noise
it was like someone was blowing a flute
and we heard this flute
sort of like a flute noise and then we
got closer and closer
silver thing and we saw a man standing
next to it
one thing sitting on the side and
another thing
sort of like running up and down the top
and he had big eyes
and it had big eyes
eyes that are bigger than ours
how much bigger than those four or five
times the size
four or five times the size of us
his eyes were like in the slant like say
like so
like what further down his face yeah
much further down than us because our
other hair is
down the eyes were were like more
pointed
as they came in toward the center of the
head
and this was all black now you've made
pupils do they actually have pupils or
what
and his eyes were his down here quite
big
big eyes like what guy was saying here i
saw that man with his eyes yeah and i
saw a few
and they had big eyes and they had big
black eyes and big black eyes
really big eyes when you say have big
eyes
show me with your hands the size from
people
over kind of like that oh yes
tell me with your hands how big that is
shaped like
something like that and you had his eyes
were down here
and he was like looking really really
funny the eyes
they looked horrible
they had short legs and quite a long top
and what is his arms and his hands and
his legs like
like humans but he didn't he definitely
didn't look like when his head was
much

about this small but we were that way
away so
it was about our size how tall would you
guess they were
they're about my size and how big was
the figure
it was about as big as a grade six
and their mouth is quite small as well
his mouth was just like a line
like this
what does he look like his face was like
this really big head
or the big head definitely not a human i
don't know
he had a big head could you see his face
look i couldn't see the eyes or the
nurse on the mouth it was just blank
like a piece of paper could you see his
face
nothing if it did have a nose couldn't
really see it and a small
we didn't actually see their nose it was
quite small
the skin pigmentation was very very
different it was very odd it was
nothing like i'd ever seen before he
wasn't very very dark he was very
quite lightish and he was very thin that
is
and how tall about about say there
and i saw a black man
he was dressed in black and was dressed
in a black bodysuit
they were in black tight black suit what
it was wearing
would be something like a scuba diving
suit it was just very form-fitting very
black
um a little shiny i saw the little
black man the person in black you saw a
person
alongside the silver thing yes i saw the
little black guy
she looked she was always black and who
saw this
creature yes she was very very shiny
black
shiny brush shiny black suit kind of
suits
and was dressed in a black bodysuit
and he looked like he was in like in
durban you see these people in like a
diving suit a really shiny one
and he looked like he was dressed in
that have you ever seen the darkness
going to the sea
almost like that it was tight-fitting it
was time-clicking
and it was shiny
one was running in the trees and the
other one was running
running across the ship because there
were also trees here
and then there was something running
across and some of the ship that moved
there were actually three beings and
another one running up and down like he
was confused
one of them was running in slow motion
up across the ship
the most peculiar thing was the way in
which it moved because it almost felt as
if
it would disappear and appear
a few meters ahead of itself i saw this
black
figure running in slow motion and then i
didn't want to see it so i looked away
and i looked again and it wasn't there
anymore
i saw like a black thing sitting on top
this figure like candace said
running in slow motion did you see
anything else
yes we saw a black man running above
just was he among the trees sister spot
like a shadow it just shows
with this one thing sitting on the side
and another thing
sort of like running up and down the top
was he near the silver object or was he
fought
on top on top of the silver object okay
the little man appear
on top of the actual craft they seem to
have stiffness they didn't
seem to move their necks like weekend
that's all i saw i saw a glimpse they
kind of turned around
and stared and then went back into a
kind of like ship
it kind there was like the parts of the
alien where it was
sitting on and the other one was
standing beside the ship
the hair was it looked more like our
hair
it it it wasn't curly that thing almost
looked like a hippie
it looked like he had long hair well as
i could see with his hair
and when he turned around long hair
and he was all black they had long
longish hair the thing almost looked
like a hippie
it almost looked like a real person
except i was fairly plump
they didn't they seemed to have
stiffness they didn't
seem to move their necks like we can
and we saw two two people they all
looked exactly the same
they were kind of just like looking at
us they were like kind of astonished saw
some people a white one a red one
and a black one and the black one was
sitting on
the spaceship
how far away were you when you saw him
uh not very far
not very far about a meter away i'm
still away that
yes
and how close were you to him well i was
like
the i was at the back because i had just
been finished in the classroom and i was
quiet at the back
so all the other kids were in the front
they weren't
frightened of us they actually came here
and they didn't try attack they acted
they didn't act in an unfriendly
way
seen that he was looking at all of us
they were just like looking at all of us
he was actually looking at us when
purpose hit her
up and looked at me did he look at you
did you look at him yes and he gave me
the crease then i thought
thank you the creeps just that the face
is the eyes
the eyes looked even evil what was the
sense you got from those eyes
he was interested
his eyes looked at me as if oh i want to
i want to what i want you i want you
yeah there are a lot of other things
that happened during this
interlocking moment
it looked evil because it was just
staring at me

with what staring at you as if what as
if to do what
as if i wanted to come and take us is it
that he wanted you to
go with it did you feel like you wanted
to go with it
no did you feel what was the effect on
you
when when you felt it wanted to have you
go with it
i just i moved to and i started crying
this is a playground full of children
of course they were they were kids
playing on this side and there were
some other kids who were very confused
by what was going on and some
started to cry there was this little boy
crying so i went up to him to see what
was wrong with him and he said
he was quite afraid of it

i was just completely engulfed in these
[Music]
eyes
[Music]
we waited for a few minutes and we just
stared at
it so then i was looking at him right
then he was looking at me back
how could you just keep on looking at
himself i was just completely
engulfed in these eyes and in that
moment this
interlocking moment however long it was
because i have no idea of the time frame
everything slowed down and i couldn't
hear a thing we all were just stopped in
our tracks
my sense of time was completely warped
it was just it was mesmerizing
there was no talking he never said
anything
it's all just images in the head so
flashes
inside of mine telepathic communication
looking
straight into his eyes they were trying
to communicate
my heart kind of went faster and
slower and faster and then slower all at
the same time
just make me almost kidding your heart
is not starting to pump faster
my heartbeat in my you know you can hear
your heartbeat when it's beating really
fast
i've definitely had palpitations in that
moment even though everything was slowed
down which was so trippy
and it was making me all quizzy now oh
just keep on looking at him so i just
stopped and i looked sideways so
you keep on making me feel faint but it
was just
that picture that it'll never
go out of my mind was the face
because it was actually quite scary
and were you afraid i was a little
it was scary myself it was scary because
you saw something yourself yes
that actually made me quite afraid of it
because when somebody's afraid i get
afraid
were you okay yes i was were you afraid
yes me and candace were really scared we
knew me
um screamed we were so scared and we
were running back and forth
because we were excited and scared at
the same time
what was the feeling when you looked at
the eyes um
it was scary
i was i was scared i don't want to say i
felt like i knew it
but i knew that i didn't have to be
afraid of it
i snapped right out of the trance
as soon as i broke contact all of those
feelings technology the bad
the horribleness that was happening and
going around my body at the time
went breaking the locked gaze has a lot
to do with it
but i don't want to sit here and say
that it was easy because it wasn't i
have never
i've never felt so tired and drained in
all my life
really yes yes i actually broke
my eye lock with it i disconnected from
that gaze which was not an easy thing to
do
i feel like it took every ounce of
effort and energy from me and i felt
absolutely exhausted afterward
and then i saw them also disappear they
went
about a meter off the ground and then
they just vanished and what happened to
the big one
the big one did the same thing and then
he walked towards us and he walked back
again and they just went
how how did they go it just went all of
a sudden and then
after a couple after a few minutes a
couple of minutes they just
just disappeared like just wait just
wait how how did they go it just went
all of a sudden would like helicopter
no just just wait which way
down more down into the valley
at about what height quite high
like and then what happened and then it
didn't come back again
and did you girls see that as well

just coming out just for an instant and
then it just disappeared like
um just like that i saw them i saw them
disappear they went one meter up from
the ground and then they just
disappeared
they went finally to up and they
disappeared
i was with one of the other girls and
saying to her
this is amazing
more disturbing still was what the
children told dr mack about
the purpose of the alien visit they were
trying to communicate
trying to tell us something i kept
getting these thoughts and ideas in my
mind of technology
technology is not helping technology is
bad it was a dire warning mac had heard
more than 100 times before
from people in the united states half a
world away and yet their doomsday
scenario was being repeated to the last
detail
by the ruach children fungi what do you
imagine
is his reason for visiting earth hmm i
think it's about something that's gonna
happen
something's gonna happen what i thought
was maybe
the world's gonna end maybe they're
telling us the world's gonna end
maybe they're trying to communicate with
us
show us something which we don't know
about i think they want
um
people to know that we're actually
making harm on this world and we mustn't
get too technology
we don't look after the planet and all
the trees will just go
down and and there will be no ear and
people be dying
and we're going down a wrong path and we
have to
start recognizing that what we're doing
is detrimental and we need to make
changes
and i don't know what to do with that
don't do what they were trying to tell
us they'll probably come back and try to
tell us again yeah or
how did that get communicated to you i
don't
know if it just popped up in my head
pollution yes
they were reaching out to us it was as
if they wanted us to go with them
and the eyes the horrible look had that
information that you just told me yes
why do you think they might want us to
be scared
because um we may be because we never we
don't look after the planet
and the area properly
and let me this is
is this an idea that uh
you have had before that we don't look
after the planet properly
in the air or did this idea come to you
when you had this experience
when i had this experience and how did
that idea come to you from this success
this is a little
hard but try try to be with me here okay
when you
how did this idea come to you when you
had this experience
just felt all horrible inside you felt
horrible at what point did you feel that
when you saw the craft or
when you got home at night when i got
hurt you had that
horrible feeling when you got home yes
and to say more about that horrible
feeling lisa what was it like
it was like in the world all the trees
will just go
down and and there will be no air and
people be dying and
those thoughts came to you had you had
those thoughts before this
experience no and
did how did those thoughts come to you
did they come to you from
the craft or from from the man
the man and the man did the man
say those things to you uh how did he
get that
across to you well he never said
anything
it's just that the face is the eyes
what was the sense you got from those
eyes
he was interested would you like to see
him again
yes you would like to see him again
do you think you might see him again i
don't know
and if you saw him again what would you
do i'll ask him some questions
what would you like to ask him i'll ask
him what is he doing on earth
and what does he want with us
who was dreaming about it since then yes
yes
in in a bad way bad way yeah in a bad
way
now let me tell you first in a bad way
why you have nightmares about it
yes i used to but then after about a
year i stopped dreaming about it
i dreamt that um the same one i saw
without hair he came into my bedroom and
he took me from my bed
did you dream that yes yeah and then i
just screamed i woke up and screamed
and we decided that we should go
down there and see but clay said we're
not loudly
so i said i don't it doesn't matter
let's just guarantee
and we started to follow it his eyes
looked at me as if
oh i want to and things like that
i want to what i want you i want you
yeah
it looked cause it was just staring at
me
they weren't frightened of us they
actually came here
and they didn't try attack they acted
they didn't act in an unfriendly
way i heard this lady on tv
i think it was still dark and she said
this
lady got kidnapped and she had babies
that were aliens
as if i wanted to come and take us as if
it wanted to come and take you
that was the feeling you got that he
wanted you to
go with it did you feel like you wanted
to go with it
no did you feel what was the effect on
you
when when you felt it wanted to have you
go with it
i just i moved to and i started crying
has anyone
ever asked you to do regression yes
and what's your thoughts on that no okay
not yet yeah no i i i are you are you
afraid that there's
something hidden that you might discover
that's
that you're afraid of yes i understand
i'm not ready to face that
and the day after that i search in the
ag with my friends for right
and barry
you've gone to the place of course and
have you seen anything
no we weren't allowed in evidence i mean
that it was there
and then somebody from bbc um
came to us and he went for a walk down
there with us with a guy account
and actually on that piece of metal over
there
we we could stand up on it and you could
actually see a few burn marks
so he asked us when you were walking
down there with him he said please could
you come down with us to go and have a
look
at the things so when we we walked about
i have just one last mention of
something very interesting here
god i'm mrs dark we used to go down
there with our teacher misty vernon
just for walk for our content studies
and we've got a dime at the champions
moment and we go down there to get some
clay and
pieces of grass and it's actually quite
interesting because there's usually ants
like crawling up and biters
if there's about six pounds and if you
have a look one two three four five six
there were um bone marks actually on the
ground
um and then the heels there on the rocks
yeah the day that happened there was
something glittering
like quite strongly and then we when you
came back to school the next stage was
just gone
and also when we went down with them the
burn marks were just gone that's
like a few minutes later how long did
you observe this whole happening
i think it was about five and a half
minutes when we went down i went up with
the bbc
and as you know already from the ants or
something
we all did something he said it was
radiation marks but
um some other people came to the school
and they went
out the boundary of the playground and
they went to go and see what had
happened there
and they saw that the grass was burnt
and all the living things had died
in that area i think it was the alien
ship
yeah um and when we went down there with
the bbc
um we were walking around and we came
back and they were very
there were quite a few anchors and
anthology on the floor
there was not a single ant and there
were quite a few dead ones on the floor
where the spaceship had landed all the
the insects and ants and stuff like that
were all dead and there was a huge black
mark there
for the first time in nearly 20 years
the aerial school children
gathered from the four corners of the
world to talk to each other
about the experience they shared that
september morning
i remember something there one they all
still
struggle to understand you know that
it's moving but you
i stand by what i saw there was no
reason for any of us
to make that up i've not spoken to
anybody about it
not because i'm not proud of it but
because i don't want the
the stigma so it's something that
i've had to deal with for 19 and a half
years
making me a bit anxious being back here
never asked you to do
regression yes and what's your thoughts
on that
no okay it was literally fear of the
unknown
pun intended you know
that's the best way i can describe it
but i'll never forget it
strange it was exciting it was
you know is this
you don't see stuff like that every day
you know
i was like a once in a lifetime
experience strange i guess like i said i
anyway i mean i don't want to believe in
the whole aliens and stuff but
it always leaves me questioning thinking
huh
that that was very strange so it is
possible
and if you saw him again what would you
do i'll ask him what is he doing on
earth
and what does he want with us
and he's protecting you of course
don't do what they were trying to tell
us they'll probably come back and trying
to tell us again
yeah why do you all think these aliens
came especially here in aruba have you
any idea
me yeah i think they came um
to examine what it looked like um
because even though you can see it from
probably where they are
but if they want to come take a closer
look how the grass grows
how the um the trees grows grows and
grow and stuff like that um i think the
aliens came because
they are curious like us and um
well they want to learn about us and we
want to learn about them some people say
that um
people are saying that the aliens came
to warn us when something's gonna happen
that something bad is gonna happen to
the earth yeah i think they came here
to um try and warn us that the children
because we're young a long time we've
got a long time till we die
um to warn us that in when we're
older there's something gonna happen to
the earth yeah
not to pollute because we're young we
can still prevent it
do you still have all that feeling
that as a child you can do a lot yeah
this is my i haven't
yeah do you feel as a child do you feel
privileged
or do you think next time if the ufo is
coming please
go to another school no
you feel privileged that you saw it i'd
love them
to see them again in 1995
hind brought worldwide attention to the
robot children
when she presented their case at the
eighth international ufo congress in
sheffield england
why don't they try and form some sort of
panel
not near the americans it could be
united nations
to check out these stories why would
62 children lie
in rua a few weeks after the conference
a full on-site investigation began under
the direction of harvard professor of
psychiatry
dr john mack who is now producing a
documentary film
about the rua encounter
one pole looks the same go near it
i don't seem to detect any abnormalities
really you know if there's really some
changes like geiger would be going
faster but um so this is just normal
background radiation yeah this is about
normal

the impression but i spoke to john
spencer last night
and john spencer tell me that they have
a very interesting case
in england whether the actual creatures
were at a great distance away all right
that the children saw them close too
so there's a time discrepancy we
experience very
powerful encounters with these beings

it's nothing to do with where that's
broken down there

where did they must be there i saw it
i was standing there

do you think it moves from one place to
the other no no
they might have been choosing
listen okay what was your first
impression when you heard the story
uh my first one and a half year ago yeah
one and a half years ago
my first uh impression was that
i thought the children were imagining
what they saw because there were no
adults
there were no adults who saw us it was
only um
children at the school and
all the children in the program in the
playground someone like 250
of them and i was that only sort of 60
claimed to have actually seen this as
such
um so that actually put made me more
skeptical
initially since
we have had all the reporters we have
had professor mack
from harvard university out here i've
changed my life slightly i believe that
children did see something
um unfortunately i personally didn't see
it so it's very difficult for me to give
my own personal opinion
they said they were flashing redness
i think this is a bit imaginative
i don't think you could see that there
short door
i think that one's upside down

a lot of them saw the figures
virtually in line with our overhead
electric cable
yes you see because uh what
investigators how right we are they
but know that
what's that

maybe something is more familiar i don't
know but they look
but barry darny said like rugby balls
which they are because they're that way
well
that's a nice drawing got artistic
talents yes
it's more difficult
this to me that this i would say you
wouldn't be able to see
as i said to tim yesterday i mean i i do
believe the children call something
um i personally wasn't out there
but my only main concern is the

fact that the imaginations might go a
bit carrying

you see the head the head the head and
there and children better than anybody
else
and they're the ones who have a very
vivid imagination
in 1979 i did with hillary evans
a lot of the top british people were
involved in wales
and that the children had the same sort
of thing i saw the headmaster of the
medical school
they had it in the newspapers and
everybody laughed
but when i went down three times and to
the children
one of the things that their class
teacher said was that sooner or later
the children come out
and say we didn't really and these kids
are now 19
20 years old and she said never deny
what they saw
could be the biggest story in the world
really i think

these are the great sevens the oldest
children here at the school do you say
they
saw something did you all see something
yes yes your head master of aerial
school tell me what
what do you think of all this um i feel
sure that the children
feel that they did see something um i
don't
believe or disbelieve to be perfectly
honest um
but i do feel that they definitely saw
something we had a number of children
say they did
we asked them to draw pictures of what
they saw this morning
uh what they saw on friday and um
after looking at us i definitely feel
that they did see something
i agree that it could be something that
we
are not common with um but to actually
say that it was a ufo
i would be uh reluctant to make a
decision like that
i was doing my first documentary back in
1997 when i was just naive enough to
think i can get an interview with steven
spielberg
we had a mutual friend involved this
woman janet
and she gets back to me and she's like
yeah so spielberg's definitely not going
to meet with you
but he knows you're working on this ufo
documentary he thinks you should look
into this landing case that happened in
africa at the school
and i said to myself at the time and
remind you to remind you guys that i was
making a film on ufos
and i dismissed it so quickly because i
thought
there's no way that a mass landing
with the sheer volume of eyewitness
testimony at a school
in broad daylight could happen in the
whole world not know about it so i just
walked away from that story for about 10
years
10 years later i'm doing an event at the
national press club with
with leslie kane who was part of the
article in new york times that came out
in 2017 and she introduced me to this
guy
randall nickerson and she's like oh he's
working on this landing case in africa
long story short he's working on a film
uh
now i think it's coming out next year
specifically on just that case
dan farah's producing it and he said
i'm working on the case and and if you
want to do something with me on it
a small piece i could so i got back into
it i licensed some of the footage
that dr john mack the harvard
psychiatrist that came and interviewed
the school children
on camera within a week of it happening
he unfortunately looked the wrong way in
london got run down by a car and died
so i contacted the institute with the

i licensed the archival footage we
tracked down the witnesses today
we flew them in from all different
corners of the world brought them
together a lot of them were standing
right next to each other these they came
face to face and one of the things i've
realized was that
there were roughly a hundred kids in the
playground broad daylight
aerial school rule zimbabwe 1994
and they got within arms right armed
some of them within
arm's length of these beans and brought
these
witnesses together for the first time in
20 years and a lot of them hadn't even
told their
their you know significant others just
because they said they were tired of
having to defend this and i myself
didn't believe it when i first heard
about it back in 1997
and that segment of the film
is the most in my opinion is the most
powerful segment very compelling
you've got all these children saying
what they saw on camera after it
happened and then
you see them 20 years later and then we
go to africa and we meet with the
headmistress she was a teacher at the
time
we meet with other witnesses we go to
the landing site we talk to people at
the school
that case is absolutely and it was
witnessed by lots of other people in and
around the area for several days before
it chose
a school to land it's so compelling
because the children are all
clearly they're not actors so as they're
adults
later they're all talking about this
moment
and it's like they had a religious
experience together like they're all
sharing it and talking about it and you
could tell it's like it's a deeply
moving experience
if if they were actors they wouldn't
have been able to do such a good job
because to convey the reality
of that moment to them to to to to
be able to have this interpretation of
this event
where they're all consistent in the
story and they're all
clearly still shook by this moment
it's really interesting because if you
had that scene in a movie
it would take like a really good actor
to pull it off and they'd probably need
multiple takes they'd probably want to
get the best one but those kids the way
they were talking about it the way they
were drawing it you're like
wow it really does seem like something
happened to them i i know
how credible that the testimony of the
children is because i
i my partner rebecca she's never had
much of an interest in
what i do making documentaries on on
ufos i do other things as well but
when i was reviewing in the studio uh
the archival interview of the children
she just dropped off a cup of coffee and
she stopped and
went oh my god those children are not
lying this is the most amazing thing
i've ever seen because look
i ask your audience to don't take it
from me
just suspend judgment for a moment and
imagine hypothetically if
a ufo or several ufos landed at a school
in broad daylight in rui zimbabwe africa
and interacted telepathically with
nearly a hundred school children
not all of them had telepathic but seen
the incident
how significant of a story would you
give that well not only that they had
the same message
yes but the telepathic message was that
technology is a real problem
yes and there's things that people are
doing with technology that are going to
ruin the earth
yes and they were trying to relay this
to children which is very strange
you know i mean maybe they just thought
they were adults because they were the
same size as the aliens
i mean do you think they knew that they
were children do you think they
understood that it was a school i mean
this is all speculation yeah right
but no i definitely had to ask myself
look during the production of the film
paula harris actually turned me on to
another laning case that happened in
australia in 1966
at a school and this time there were
roughly 300 witnesses
that saw a disc land uh
right outside a playground in australia
and we went to australia and
investigated that case went to the
landing site
talked to eyewitness testimony people
that jumped the fence at the school
playground
and ran over to where this thing landed
and then we even interviewed a guy who
snapped a photograph of a disc
a polaroid back in 1966 two days prior
to the incident so
it's very
probably that we have a photo we have
photographic evidence we have
eyewitness testimony and for the first
time we've got testimony from a science
teacher so
why do these things land at schools
it seems like and i'm just totally
speculating here but it seems like
if if i were going to do that it seems
like a pretty benign environment
we've had testimony from military guys
that we take a fairly hostile position
towards
things that penetrate sensitive military
installations
and um you know so maybe i'm just saying
maybe
maybe stay safe you may be safe
we have to stop reacting to uh you know
intrusions
by ufos as a threat i mean that's a
whole thing behind this new task force
and as much as i respect you know the
task force
one big one one big ship and then small
ones
surrounding it with um there were lights
yeah surrounding the ship
